This got thoroughly entertaining. I thought makeup forums were bad. I guess we’re more alike than we like to admit.

I agree with not listening to the negativity. But this thread started well before the release. Early on, I was confident the new truck was going to be game changing. Looks, payload, and towing. I was disappointed. Most everyone on the forum has a Tundra, so for some the new truck will work and others not.

I think dealers will sell all the Tundras they get. For me, I'm waiting for the new Sequoia and 4Runner and keeping my 2018. I'm still going to buy another Toyota, just not the Tundra.

You should read the radiator threads.

I'm glad there's a solid line between responses to keep the logic and anti-logic separated.

Those first Gen's had better payloads too, 05-06 had over 2000 lbs

Are the tracks still intact around here or have the train and tracks both gone MIA?

Im considering trading my truck (2014 CrewMax TRD Off Road w/22,500 mi) in for a new one while the trade in value is still ridiculous. Big dilemma here with 21 vs. 22.

Looking to go with TRD Pro but concerned the MSRP of the 22’ will be high and the premium on top will be another $4k. Have to wait to find out but the longer I wait the less 21’s are out and about.

Concerned if I go 21’ I will regret not waiting and getting the updated interior.

Concerned if I go 22’ I will regret not keeping the old V8.

Strangers of the internet, let’s get this thread back on track, whatcha think?

Keep the 14. Put a nice after market suspension on if you don't already. Enjoy the truck for 2-3 more years. Let the 3rd gen bugs get worked out. If you don't like it trade in for a used 21 pro.

    That’s good advice for real.

I’m good without the lift to be honest. I regret not getting leather in my truck. Considering Katskinz and hanging on.

Main reason I went from 17 SR5 to 19 pro. That and suspension and moon roof. Rumors of new gen, but 20's hit the lot and 19's still on the lot I got a deal I couldn't pass up.

Wish we could get some sort of red on the exterior of the 22 TRD Pro.

You got more red than you could ever imagine on the inside. Even Ferrari is jealous of the new TRD Pro....

Yes, but that’s a 2wd regular cab. 2nd gen 2wd reg cab was the same.

1st gen 4wd crew cab SR5s maxed out around 1500lb.

Agreed you really aren't gaining anything by spending the money on the 21. You've got a good low mileage truck, do a couple updates like the katskins and keep it for a while.

Thanks for the feedback. If you have any pics of the katzkin’s installed feel free to post/message some photos. It’s nice to see how they look after a while, most the pics I see are right after install.

Talked with the owner of the a dealership I know very well today (guy is a straight shooter). Price increases will be marginal at best he says, not Toyotas way to jack the price through the roof and if they were $5k more per trim he would be floored. Allocation starting to show up in small batches 2 thus far, mid/ end of this week they should have more allocation.

I received an email from my dealer today here in Canada that they received their allocations and my 22 should be arriving by Jan 25th at the latest. Pretty pumped about that!

With allocations can dealers specify color and options for their allocation or is it a they get what they get?

The pro in Toyota’s official video has red writing on the tailgate. It also has painted color matched door handles and mirrors, and what looks to be factory rock slider steps. The pro in all the driver reviews has none of these things. I wonder if that was just a one off pre production truck, or will it be some sort optional package.
