Ouch…. That msrp is about 4-5k higher, then that 12k dealer “upgrades” is more like $3500-4k at best for upgrades, $60k could be reasonable but damn 70k.

Why is it $2795 for upgraded tires that probably cost $800?

70k and the POS still doesn't have a trans. cooler, solid bumpers, or any decent payload capacity. Some poor bastard will still buy it.

They’re install charges are pretty high. I’m sure someone that wants one will pay it. At least that one has upgrades. I saw a lime rush 4Runner in Boerne, and they wanted 70k stock.

The tow package doesn’t have a trans cooler? You seem to really hate Tundras…

basically at 12k markup, ridiculous. Honestly, I would not spend 60k for a current TRD Pro. Someone will buy it and be happy about it.

That seems a bit harsh, I own one of these and while it’s certainly not perfect I don’t consider it a POS.

There are no tires in this world worth that much or any of the other bullshit. Who is going to fall for a leveling kit on a Pro?

I disagree. It’s definitely not worth 70k, but that doesn’t make it a POS. That just means that the dealer knows that someone who has enough money or credit to pay 70k for it and is stupid enough to do so will come along. You do the math on this and the dealership is the POS.

No running boards for a lifted truck ? This must be the one Lisa was hard selling me on. Red McCombs Toyota had a lifted Barca red platinum with nice wheels and tires and some other accessories for $65k. Would have way taken that over this.

California dealers for real going after the overland Tech bros. And the thing is, they sell.

Went with my brother to get him a new Corolla, the salesman kept asking if I’m interested in selling my truck. Asking him how much would they pay for it.

mind you its a 2018 sr5 with nothing but the off-road package/tow and Bedliner. 84k miles, been used for work so the tailgate is dented from forklift loading, scratches and scuffs all over as well as door dings, some paint and gouge from someone hitting the front passenger fender, and the rear bumper has a dent in the center.

    38k..
Which they’ll probably list for 40 or so

    it’s bad

They offered you $38k?! I’d take it and run! I bought a brand new Tacoma OR with the premium interior package for $37,300 albeit in Sept 2018. I’m trading it in next week with 46k miles for a Tundra and they offered me $34k which I thought was crazy high!

Haha, I’d love to, but the issue is idek what I’d buy after selling. Like I said I use it for work and rack up miles on it.

I just saw this and the Livermore pro today as well. These guys are nuts. You’re right though, some of these tech bros will definitely come along and buy them. I’m glad I was able to find mine at Toyota WC for MSRP.

I tried to buy a Voodoo Blue platinum from up there, but the dealer told me they can’t sell to anyone outside of the New England area. Not sure if it was a dealer or region rule.
