Thanks for the response. There's another one for sale in my area that has 300k miles with records, asking a tad under 9k. Might be risky, but a price I like for a camping vehicle.

I have a hard time getting comfortable in my Tacoma for long trips. My ten year old is getting tall and I know he's uncomfortable in the backseat with the dog in his lap. But he hasn't complained yet.
This listing shows side impact airbags. That's why I asked. Must've been optional.
This is exactly what I wanted to hear! First hand experience. Yeah I'm not pleased with the mileage on my taco. Lucky to get 15.

    We have a winner!!!!

Can't wait to get into a 1st gen Tundra. Have some cool ideas to build out the bed area with a shell for camping when it's just two of us. I've had plenty of nights in the back of the taco, but it's getting tight in there for my son and I now that he's getting bigger.

I was under impression that the 05/06 double cabs all had side curtain air bags.

I think it was on the 'LTD' versions, either as an option, or part of the package. I could be wrong though.

Not sure. Mine is just an sr5 TRD and it has side curtain. Maybe it was a safety option or what have you.

Unless it has a twin, I see that truck all the time when I’m mountain biking Sycamore in Riverside. Very interesting choice of colors.

Just to wrap up this OLD thread I started awhile ago... I finally got a first generation tundra. Been wanting one of these for a while. Big upgrade from my two-wheel drive Tacoma long bed. I needed something bigger for my family of 4 plus large dog... And I've been wanting to get a truck camper put on the back of a truck so this is going to be the perfect platform to build upon. Right now I'm looking at the OVRLND Campers builds and a have a pop up camper trailer and the Tacoma to sell.

Thanks everyone for the input. Was a long drive back from Denver to Southern California, but I got to see some cool shit along the way! The drive was beautiful.

Big thanks to @shifty` for all the help. I do plan to contribute to this forum and make a build thread.

I have a trip coming up in a few days... Any recommendations for a bed mat? I doubt I will find one that could ship in the next 2 days... So I might have to find another solution to keep stuff from sliding around in the bed temporarily. Maybe I'll see how my Tacoma made fits just for this trip.

Also this mint tundra... The guy took it off the market because nobody wanted to pay what he was asking. Glad I didn't settle for it.

Awesome! I just added a set of the Falken Wildpeaks and I love them. Excellent tire. Great truck you have there.

Yeah this is my first time running them and they've been smooth. I have some newer Toyo Auto 255/80/17 I plan to slap onto this truck along with the wheels from my Tacoma
