So I’ve been driving my truck recently as my daily and been using it to pick up my kids from activities. I get there and have to wait. Turn engine off, radio turns off and have to restart to get the radio on. Like the old ACC mode. Well, today I tried throwing it into neutral and turning the engine off, then putting it into Park and the damn radio stayed on!! :eek2: Can’t believe it took me almost 10 years to figure this out. I’m sure this will be useful to a lot of you also.

I can never seem to remember to actually do it, but I do remember reading that on the forum…in the “things I learned about my Tundra” thread, maybe? Thank you for the reminder!

Double tapping the start/stop button would be so much easier. Wonder how long before someone thinks of that?

My 19 doesn't have a push button, but my wife's 21 Forester does. If you hit the push start without having your foot on the brake, can you go into Accessory mode?

Not on the Tundra. I tried everything. Brake on, brake off, double tap the button, long press the button, windshield wiper on. :D

I thought for sure that last one would do it too. But NO!

Press the start button twice with the truck off and no foot on the brake for accessory mode on my ‘21

That's a Bummer, not sure why they make it so difficult when the Tech is out there. Thanks for the heads up on how you managed it.

Yes. But if your truck is already on and you just want to shut it off but keep the radio going (not wait 20 seconds for CarPlay to reconnect, etc), then that’s not ideal.

Single-button press for ACC (page 220 in manual) and I haven't found a workaround for that annoying 20-minute-where-the-f-is-my-kid shutoff issue. Also

The shift to park then unlock doors is a security risk IMO. Can that be turned off?
