Good to know about the k-cups, that's disappointing.

I gotta get to Hawaii before Thanksgiving so we're laying low until then. Trying not to get colds or anything worse before we go, upping our vitamin intake.

    I'm always ready for snow!

The next week or so is going to be interesting. News is saying up to 400 Seattle cops will be released and maybe 10+% of the State employees.

My employer said this week only about 60% of the employees are vax’d and have reported as such. I bet many of those reported were fibbing too since it was the honor system. As a federal contractor we have to comply with the POTUS mandate by early Dec. The panic in mgmt’s voice is perceptible.

    Where is that?

We get the AK-47 k-cups when we need them and they are decent.

    Noice! I cannot wait!

Wait for a letter in the mail. Give a copy of that to your employer. Save it in case you ever change jobs. Wait for them to change the law this fall and... nevermind

Couldn’t help myself….just checked my can. Driven less than 60 miles since I installed it. Maybe 4-6 short trips. There is prob two drops of oil in there total. The inside has a nice oil sheen and the start of some oil collecting at the bottom. Nuts.

    Good stuff man.
I'm curious to see if winter temps play a role in the collection rate, we shall see.

I’m kind of curious what conditions are ideal to increase the “drip”. I’m guessing short trips where the engine isn’t getting super warm. Maybe long heavy hauls where you are railing the engine. But I bet older motors that are more worn in get some bypass. Dunno. Should be fun to track.

That was my first thought, summer towing seams like it would produce more hot oil vapor?

Yep, should be fun. I think I'll do a 3k mile test this winter and compare it to summer for shits & gigs.

Well time to see how she goes. Going to be taking my friends Cummins that blew up ( pics posted a few weeks ago) from wenatchee to Portland for a new motor. I’ll post some pics once we figure out a date to take it down.

    Who's doing the motor?
So what are you looking at for the load, 7-8k lbs?

He found a shop in Portland apparently. He tried around here but no shops could get a remanufactered motor and the local dodge dealership quoted $24,000 for a new motor. Now after looking more in to it we might need a bigger tow rig. His truck is 7,900lbs curb weight and the car trailer is around 2,500lbs. Plus me and him right at 400lbs.

Ya I didn’t realize his truck would be that heavy. I was thinking like 6500lbs. Still might get it setup and weight it just to see.
I believe per the brochure my tow rating is 10,100lbs. And the payload sticker is a hair under 1,400lbs. Either way I would be maxed out for sure

I’d run that in my old f350 with the V10, but someone would have to sit in the bed and pour gas into the tank as we drove.

Seems a bit much for any half-ton truck.

If it’s within my limits I would tow it down there. It’s fairly flat. He is paying for fuel so it doesn’t bother me lol

Yeah, I dunno man. Your call obviously but the transmission would be my concern if you have to pull any passes or decent grades maxed out.

Take care of your truck, nobody else will

I’m not to worried about tearing up the truck. I figure Toyota calculates a pretty safe number and if they say 10k then she can probably tow 14k. I won’t tow over the limit obviously. Tow/haul mode, S4, 60mph and the ol tekonsha P3 dialed in and it should be alright.

It is Friday! Make it a good day everyone…

What’s on the agenda for the weekend? I got a 24hr pass, so headed into the hills tomorrow for some exploration. Might even stay overnight in the Yakima area. All depends on the route taken.
