    Wow!
    You need to try some.

Slice it and fry it up until slightly crisp, place on some white bread with Mayo.
    Simple bliss.

I've never tried it either. I can't think of anyone I know who has mentioned trying it either. It's not well regarded up here. Most people consider it to be not much better than cat food. :notsure:

    Daria’s idea is good.
But a simple slice, fried on a sandwich, works as well.

Go to Hawaii, they have so much more variety of spam there than you can get in the lower 48. It's pretty good stuff. Most just see it as canned lower class food. But if you know how to cook it, you can make some pretty darn good meals with it.

I'll give it a try if I can find some.

I've been to Hawaii. Spam never even got on our radar there for some reason.

Spam is da chit. It is basically a cousin of bologna, but carrying some holiday weight. If you've eaten one you've eaten the other.

I'd just pan fry it. Don't get all crazy. Cut it into 1/4" thick slabs and toss in a pan. I recommend cooking slices to different doneness levels (it's already cooked) to pick what you like best. I like a nice brown on it to add some texture.

I'll sometimes cube half a can for eggs, hash browns or a rice dish. It is money in a deconstructed California roll bowl. It is pretty salty so easy to overdo.

Don't bother with all the flavors out there. Do original or reduced salt. Even the hard core pacific islanders I know will use the reduced salt...Unlike most "lower" salt products, you're not giving anything up.
