EDIT: Ordered the Hertz/Infinity package with 2x 10" JL Audio subs from Tech12Volts. Hopefully that fills out the Crewmax making the audio actually "Premium".

Torn between these two packages from Tech12Volts I have a crewmax and have already replaced the HU. I mostly listen to rock/metal/bluegrass. I'm leaning toward the 10s but wondering if anyone else has any input before I drop cash. My goal is better overall sound/clarity with enough "thump" for me and my passengers. Having my neighbors hear me coming isn't a priority.

    Phoenix Gold Package:
07-21 TUNDRA CM PHOENIX GOLD COMPLETE PACKAGE (tech12volts.com)

    Hertz/Infinity Package:
07-17 TUNDRA CREWMAX/DOUBLECAB JBL COMPLETE AUDIO PACKAGE (tech12volts.com)

And I know I could probably do this all myself and piece everything together, but honestly I just don't have the time to figure all that out. I trust James' reputation and recommendations. I'm sure either of the above packages will be far better than the factory.

I have the Hertz/Infinity system with a KENWOOD 1037 head unit. JRT is the man! My system sounds awesome!

I also have the 1037. Talking with James he is out of the Phoenix Gold amps making my decision simple I guess. Decided to go with the Hertz/Infinity system with upgraded dual 10". Was more than I wanted to spend but adding up all the parts, I don't know how he makes any money. Ordering today can't wait to get started.

I went with Arc audio package from him. Waiting to have it installed in a few weeks. Everything is Arc. I’m keeping the JBL headunit and using the DSR he programmed.

I've already replaced the HU because I wanted wireless AA and a better screen. I don't live anywhere near him so went with what could be shipped and within my budget. Should be here next week, unfortunately my garage is packed until mid november so not sure when I'll be able to get it all installed.

Sounds good. I listen to probably same music you do. This will be my first install over a lot of years keeping the factory headunit.

It's kinda funny... My wife has a 2015 4Runner and the factory system is more than adequate. We took a family trip in the Tundy a couple weeks back and on the way back out of nowhere my wife says "So... How much is it going to cost to replace this pile of shit radio?" Me: "Umm Maybe $1500?" Her: "Birthday and Xmas is coming up, make it happen, this sucks".

I agree. My 2020 4runner Pro puts this to shame. I traded the 4runner in and I was not touching the sound system. Buy a tundra and. So I need to replace it.
