Welcome! So, the 6112s are front shocks/coils and do not fit on the rear. People usually either go 5100s all around (there are front 5100s and rear 5100s), or they'll go 6112s on the front and 5160s on the rear, or 6112/front and 5100/rear. Both the 5100 and 5160 rear options are not adjustable, but can accommodate some amount of lift via a leaf kit, block, shackles, etc. If you aren't doing any serious off-roading, the 5100s all around are probably your best bet as they're quite a bit less-expensive than the 6112/5160 combo.

That all said, stiffer shocks will help a bit, but adding airbags might be your best bet for ride comfort while towing. If you lift the front to remove rake (as in you're not also lifting the rear), that will only add to your towing woes. Other towing experts might have more to add. Good luck!

 

Ok, I realized that in my original post, I am all screwed up with front and rear shocks.

I guess the question is should i do 5100s all around, or 6112s in the front and 5100s in the rear? Or use the 5160 in the rear, but need to figure out some lift.

I will need to do some lift in the rear, and would prefer NOT to use shackles, blocks, etc.

is there a better product that I should consider for my needs?

5100s are a great upgrade if you aren't doing any serious off-roading. By serious off-roading I mean crazy trails, crawlingThe 6112/5160 combo are larger diameter (and the 5160 have reservoirs) and are better-suited for harder off-roading. If you want lift in the rear, though, you will have to either add blocks (probably worst option), shackles, or a leaf pack/new leafs. Shocks alone in the rear will not add any lift. The 5100s are two different products for front and rear. The fronts use coils and are adjustable in height, but the 5100 rears are just shock absorbers and do not provide lift.
