New to the site

I'm loving the hoopla about Tundra.
I'm a camper. I like to visit and see the National Parks. I had a pop up trailer for years which I towed with a 4-cylinder Tacoma. One of my three children got the pop up, I got a Lance Travel trailer. Now I could justify the Tundra, which I wanted since the day they appeared in 1999 but couldn't afford or justify it. I could have had it a few years ago but then gen-2 was getting old and due so I waited for Gen-3. Now I'm glad I did. My 1794 is all I expected of a Tundra-power, looks, and reliability stats to spare.

I agree. They are and I love seeing them around. Very different now that I myself drive one-I don't drool. I have had my eye on one for a long time.

Welcome and congrats. Isn't the fact that you want a Tundra enough justification? Seriously though, I do that too. I am frugal and not willing to spend money without justification. A lot of times, my wife gives me the justification though, haha. I had the OME lift and ran the stock tires for a while. I was going to run it until the tread wear out. One day, my wife mentioned that the tires looked wimpy. Soon afterward, I had new set of Nitto Trail Grapplers on my truck.

 

When the wife says the tires look wimpy, that's the green light to get new wheels & tires possibly a lift as well.

 

yup, when we were considering buying a truck I went by myself to the dealer a couple of times and always eyeballed the one I bought but couldn't justify the 7 in lift and 35s as I have no use whatsoever for that but I loved the truck...when the wife finally had time to go with me to check them out I pointed out a 1794 that was stock all around and she said " yea but this white lifted one makes it look wimpy with the huge tires and lift thingy"... all I thought was "my woman"
