I've done this 3 times over on tacomaworld and the people over there loved "stalking" (going through their person's posts) to determine their gift. A list makes it too easy ;) Real talk though I'm not too worried about what I receive, it's just fun to be a part of secret Santa. ( You did list some good gifts btw so I have faith in my SS to do the same:D)

I don't for a second think I'm special my friend. Doing secret Santa is all about surprise for me. I'm sorry the idea of me not listing exactly what I want upsets you.

Yeah, this isn’t that kinda family. :angrygirl:

I participated the first time we did Secret Santa on this forum. I’ve been in here a long time, “knew” most of the regulars from years of online interaction… the odds were I’d draw a “buddy” I’d love to buy a gift for if we were “real world” friends. But no… I drew a guy who hadn’t been on a long time, didn’t bother with hints, and frequented the non-truck threads that I don’t. So I did what you’re hoping… went through all sorts of threads I didn’t normally read, looking for hints from a guy I had nothing in common with (well, except a Tundra). Then I spent real money and got him two gifts from two sources, both of them on target for his special interests.

If I had to do it again… well… I haven’t done done it again . It was more of a pain than a pleasure. To your point, it’s fun to do what you’re suggesting for friends… but there are now a lot of people on here that you don’t know and who don’t know you. Most will not invest the time you’re talking about, if they don’t already have a “relationship” with you.

Some Tacomaworld participants also exchange gifts that are super pricey. Awesome to get one of those… if you want it. Over here, most of us work hard, get paid well, buy what we want, and this is all about the exchange, not the effort. I was trying to steer you away from disappointment. If you’re happy with everything on my list, good to go. If you’d be sad with a creative gift of coal, toenail clippers, a Wahl hair trimmer, and 2 flea collars for cats you may/may not have, you may want to toss out some themes. Doesn’t have to be specific items, but you gave no hints except ‘not booze or truck stuff’ to a bunch of guys on a Truck forum, most of which drink regularly. Help us help you. :santa2:

Everyone just needs to remember that it’s very easy to order a box of real animal shit on the internet and have it delivered to someone’s doorstep. And I believe it’s over the $30 minimum to do so.

Seems a little odd to me to get on a wishlist thread and say “don’t do a wishlist”

So apparently I’m not the only one irritated egg nog and Christmas decorations were out on the shelves in September this year.

We are off to a great start. Go Team!

If these aren’t available with an @ToyoMafia print on them by Christmas, I’m going to be disappointed.
