Spent most of the day washing the mud off the truck. It’s more like concrete with big rocks mixed in. Still got a ways to go.

 

That’s what happened to me the last time I went “mudding” here. Arizona dirt is a bitch.

 

It looks better when you take in everything (the flowers and stuff). The porch swing is a darker grayish blue and it plays well with it and the plumbagos behind it.

I'll wait until her back gets better and then have her help me carry it back off the porch to repaint.

I found an old heinz 57 bottle when I was moving dirt, but you can kinda see how the swing gives a little color "pop".

 

I can imagine. That’s mostly just from gravel roads after it rained an inch. Gets this mud that comes to the surface. It’s like driving on icy slush that flies everywhere. Fun though.

 

Oh, I see, it’s not staying there. Yeah, that’ll look good with the swing.

 

That yard is FIRE!

Hey, saw you like to use a fly rod. You ever fly fish for pike or musky up there?

 

I sure do! Northern Pike. No musky in my area.

 

I’ve always wanted to put in for sandhill. Supposedly we have a pretty good area near Wilcox

 

Man. It was our first. So cool and all the talk is spot on, best tasting bird ever!! Seriously reminded me of a good elk steak. Wish we woulda shot all three that flew over, but have to be careful with the dogs.

 

Yeah, the pike where we fish don’t get that big, the musky do though.

I haven't caught any hogs yet, since I just started actively targeting pike last season so I'm still figuring them out. There's plenty of 30+ inch fish around and 40+ inchers are caught regularly though.

I do tie, but I haven't had a chance to do any recently and haven't done any pike flies. If you trout or salmon fish, I'd be happy to share some of my patterns in exchange.

My son ties, so I have a ton and love to see people catch fish on them.

 

Had to pull my door panel to fix the latch cable (long story). Also patched up the plastic that the cables pass through with some cleanroom tape, since the cables were rubbing on the window when it went up and down.
