Warning explicit violence

Now that I've released my anger and frustration I can kinda get a small laugh out this. Mother's day started out nice. Me, my o.k. lady and 2 kids went to a nursery/farm by us and I bought her a bunch of plants for the front of our yard. We were out there working on a beautiful day shirt off, shorts, sandals, ect. When all of a sudden a quick small storm rolled through. We stopped to let it pass and headed for the garage for cover. It was then when things got ugly. Let me warn everyone, I love my truck. I worked very hard for it and it's the first almost brand new vehicle I've ever bought. I stood there and watched without warning 1 single strong gust of wind pick up a trampoline and toss it about 20 feet across my backyard onto my truck.

Here's the damage it did. Look at dent between side mirror and front widshield. Also, the front hood has a small dent and decent size scratch.

 

Here's the jerk who ruined mothers day. After I cooled off from picking the trompoline off my truck over my head and smashing it on the ground, then taking my kids baseball bat to it. This is what my neighbors must have witnessed, a big tatted up, bald head, big beard, guy looking like he just got out prison, idiot yelling and cursing as I smashed the trampoline into pieces. Good thing I dont have many of neighbors. I took this pic with my reflection in the side door after I cooled off to give u an idea of what they saw. My poor ol lady knowing I love the truck so much gathered the kids and left in a hurry taking them to her sisters so they didn't have to witness me getting my frustrations out on the trampoline.

Dont feel so bad..hit a tree branch middle of road hanging low i couldn't move deep ditch one side ...on coming car other lane..late at night raining bad

On top of the damage to my truck I can't help but feel like a real jerk having my kids get scared and her very smartly getting them away from me as I released my stress on the trampoline. Yup I'm the jerk who ruined mother's day. Thankfully, she's very understanding, and feels horrible knowing how much I love my truck and how anal I am about taking care of it.

 

Hey Steve, yup I'm up in West Milford. It's so strange, there was hardly nothing then boom, 1 big gust, then nothing to follow. Sun out, birds chirping, ya know real peaceful, beautiful and calm.... oh yeah then me cursing and yelling taking a bat to it. Lol

 

So sorry man. Sucks when shit happens that you have no control over and watch as it happens. Doesn't homeowners insurance cover it so you can get it fixed?

 

I guess it could've been worse. Like Steve mentioned, nobody died puts things into perspective. 2 big dents on top side of door, 1 small dent and scratches on hood.

 

Just last weekend I was thinking of getting rid of it bc we had it for probably 5 years and it was getting shitty. I was afraid the kids would get hurt on it. Looks like I was 1 week late. It never did that before, it pretty heavy, hence the dent it caused.

 

Guess I'm off to the body shop sometime this week.

 

I would have done the same f**king thing brotha. And then tell the family to just leave me alone with a diesel cigar and a raging bitch IPA for an hour.

 

Sorry to hear. Yeah I've never loved a vehicle so much. Probably all those years of sacrificing driving shit hoopties. I don't know if I never noticed b4 bc I didn't care about what I was driving, but now I notice everything and it feels like something is always out to get me. I've had winshield, cracked, scratches and dent from service at dealer, friend with knife in pocket rip my seat, cars coming head on. It's like once a week some shit happens where somebody or something is trying to ruin my truck. Matter of fact, last night I drove a hr to meet someone to sell my stock tires. I get out leaving my door open, the guy call his dog out his vehicle to go to bathroom, and the damn thing jumps up onto my driver seat. Thankfully small scratches in seat and no rips. It's like WTF. I'm starting to think me or truck is cursed.

 

Yeah no she got them out of there thankfully. They unfortunately only witnessed a little. It didn't take her long to get them out of there knowing me and how much I care about truck. The kids helped a lot bc before they left they came over and gave me a hug knowing I was upset about it and was going to go apeshit on the thing when they left. Gotta say after a good couple minutes of beating the hell out it, I did feel a little better. It was definitely a stress reliever. I've been with her for 16 years so she knew what was coming when they left. I'm 38 now and calmed down tremendously, but she knew me back in my wild and crazy days. She knows it's still deep down there inside me, as I've gotten older and lot more mature I've gotten a lot better controlling anger issues. I can laugh at it now despite how much it hurts just picturing what one of my few neighbors might have witnessed looking out their window.

 

Do you know would that be homeowners or auto? Sux bc a month ago did claim for an oem windshield.

 

I did have the piece of mind to grab his old bat that he don't use anymore, had a ding in it anyway. For the trampoline, I don't think I'll have to worry about that damn thing anymore. Both for my truck and the kids getting hurt. I never liked the idea of having it anyway when my mom got it for them long ago. Seemed like a lawsuit from a neighbors kid waiting to happen. They're dangerous, I'm surprised with as many kids getting hurt their even allowed to sell them anymore. Trust me there will be no more trampolines on my property. The bat was garbage anyway, I should as a joke send it back to Easton and tell them there's something wrong with it. Lol

 

Thanks Jose, yeah I'm not sure if auto or homeowners would cover. Not sure if either do if it worth going through them either. I know when u put in a claim they raise your rate anyway to make up for it. They don't lose. I think I remember from selling insurance many rears ago things like flood, wind, ect... what they call acts of god are not covered. I know my auto I got 500 deductible, not sure h.o.

 

Does anybody know if auto or homeowners would cover it?

 

I feel ya brother...been n still driving my T100 321879 miles n going strong but yeah got my Tundy well the truth is my child support ended ...so i treated myself few weeks ago as well wifes ac goes out on her car so i took my T100 out for work let her use Tundy so she can have ac she worked late one day the min she walked out the key fob was beeping cause i have aftermarket alarm someone busted out pass window
Then few weeks again someone backed up n cracked my driver tail light n is cracked so i feel ya brother

 

I'm gonna say both would cover. Homeowners will too since it was on the property. Wouldn't hurt to call both. If you don't have many claims I would hope rate doesn't go up too much it at all. But if it does, see how much and probably worth to get your nice looking truck fixed. It's your other kid; whatever it takes.

 

Dude, this is f'ing worse than what happened to Mike. His was Mother Nature, in your case it was another a-hole. I would have been even more livid!

 

I had heard ya'll were going to get some weather. Not so long ago we had a rash of tornadoes, doesn't happen much here. A trampoline too out some power lines and ended up a street or so away if I remember correctly. Good riddance in my opinion, like you said, injury or lawsuit waiting to happen. I believe for this kind of thing it's homeowner's that covers. I had a boat take a tree branch many years ago and homeowner's covered it. Good luck

 

Sorry to hear about that Mike. I feel you when you say that you keep your truck looking and running great and some dumb**s or Mother Nature wipes out the effort. The body shop will get it squared it away.
