The one with the pictures, my 2020, is black. Not familiar with the black looking dark blue but I would not call the black a deep black. It is plastic matte black.
My 2008 is graphite which I would describe as a medium gray.

This has got me curious. I've done a little research online, and it looks like the different interior colors only affect the seats, headliner, and a few trim pieces, such as the small dash trim strip above the glove box. Everything else seems to be the same color regardless of the interior color option. Example: https://www.serratoyota.com/blog/2020-toyota-tundra-interior-and-exterior-color-options/

I have confirmed and ordered. OEM Interior black door handles are:
69205-0C040 Right both front and rear
69206-0C040 Left both front and rear
Goodbye high brow platinum interior chrome door handles!

EDIT - Should have read the post by @5150bronco above. I would have saved myself a lot of pain and time. Purchased from Lewis Toyota for $32.26 per door

I’d like to do this blackout to my 2021 Pro. Will these same part #s work? Do the vents have to be ordered by side / position or are they universal?

There is a left and right. To be absolutely sure, you got to go by VIN #.

Here is what I found for my 2021 Tundra double cab.

    Left vent and bezzel: 55061-0c070-c0

    Right there and Bezzel: 55064-0c050-c0

Thank you for those part #s how do you know what trim level they are for? I noticed those are the complete subassembly with the vent and dash trim piece. I was looking to just replace the vents, I though they screw into the trim pieces. Sparks parts couldn’t determine if the part #s would match my vin but they said the part number for the vent only only is the same for all positions, although in the diagrams they look different.

The trim and the vents are one piece….

basically most people want to get rid of the chrome trim and in order to do that you have to buy the vent. Make sense…

That’s one way to make more money. Are they attached with plastic welds or molded together? Did you purchase those for a TRD pro? I don’t want to get rid of my red stitch accent on the dash.

I have yet to look at it, but I will be tearing into the entire dash tomorrow. From what I have seen they are plastic molded so you could break and epoxy back together or something.

    No, I have a 2021 SR5.

Thank you for all the info. I’m trying to do my due diligence before ordering the wrong parts and tearing my dash open. Looks like I’ll have to stick with the black overlays for the vents. Will probably still end up tearing my dash open eventually

The air outlet vents are one piece and from what I remember have three small phillips head screws. On the left side of your dash you can easily remove the vent and small surround with a plastic pry tool to get a better look. Open the door and remove the outer black plastic then you can pry on the small surround. Sorry I just don't have any great pictures.

You can just buy the center section which comes with black vents and black rings.

Thank you for the pictures, I read through the previous posts and found them very helpful. I was hoping that would be the case. After looking around online and calling different dealers, they couldn’t confirm the air vents by themselves were compatible beyond 2020. I’m putting off opening the dash until all my AJT bits n pieces are here.

On a side note, do I need to disconnect the battery before pulling the passenger side top trim panel? Don’t want to deploy the airbag in my face. I bought 2 day access to TIS for $20, couldn’t find instructions on dash assembly / removal.

When I was originally searching for oem replacement I looked up the sr model and located one with pictures and a vin. Here is an example. I'm almost positive if you used this vin the parts would be interchangeable.

    Example

I am happy to report that the left and right vents can be disassembled carefully and painted. You don’t have to buy the assembly. They’re just clips that you got it carefully pry on.

That looks great. Funny thing is that this all came about when I tried to install the AJT designs vent rings. Three out of the four went fine but the passenger side center vent popped into the dash when I was hold pretty light pressure on it. Started googling how to disassemble the dash and stumbled upon this thread.

Yea I bought the AJT vent rings but I decided to keep it stock. This is definitely turning into a cool thread.

I’ll be selling the vent rings and door handle covers soon on here.

I finished an entire passenger side and center today and I’ll work on finishing the center console and the left side tomorrow.

Awesome, looking forward to pics of the finished result. What did you do for the shift ring and cup holder trim? AJT or is there an SR black option?

I went ahead and did AJT.

In all reality going with SEM paint is not a bad option.

I recently swapped in a Tacoma leather steering wheel with the dark grey steering wheel controls. Makes me want to do the center dash even more now
