Roll call for a trail run this Sunday at Sycamore Creek. I want to take my truck off-road one more time before T2S next weekend.

Meet at the trail head at 9:00AM.

Gather here, air down if you want here: https://goo.gl/maps/y381NZPt597uiwJj7
Head on the trail and make a left here: https://goo.gl/maps/nD6SoQukzD9bigPd6
Continue until we get to Sycamore Creek and make a left here: https://goo.gl/maps/BrNVNsUV6y4YT5aK7
Then drive on the creek until there is a fenced area (private property) and back track to the trail head.

We had some rain earlier this week and I don't think there will be any water left, but the sand/soil may be soft. I will have my typical recovery gear (straps, snatch block, 60" farm jack, roll-up recovery traction thinga-mabob, small hand tools WITH 10MM socket, hand held air inflator and tire repair kit WITH PLUGS and radios for the group to talk shit...).

Family friendly event like last time. Bring food and water. It's going to be chilly, so if we are going to stop and eat, you might want to dress appropriately. Also, the view may not be as pretty as Four Peaks, but it's still our beautiful desert scenery.

I was coming up Bush Highway in to Mesa yesterday, and seen a 2022 Tundra test mule (still in its wrappings) pulling a horse trailer.

Why leave it covered up if they've been officially publicized?

Could be that they just never got around to removing it.

I saw one a couple weeks ago, still wrapped up, after the announcement. I'm guessing they'll still be prototyping and testing in "secret" up until they're actually available on dealer lots. Or they're already testing the 2023 model...

I saw a truck that was wrapped under cover testing going on 60 eastbound over the weekend and I pointed it out to my wife. I couldn't tell what make/model the truck was. I wonder if it's the same truck?

I didn't realize Toyota would test drive their trucks here either.

They've got a proving grounds somewhere around Peoria I think. My buddy that used to work for Toyota's fuel cell team went out there a few times.

I knew about the proving grounds, but if I recall from my convo with a current employee who works there, Tundras aren't tested there.

Probably right. I honestly don't know where they'd be based out of, but I've read in a few places that they are indeed testing in AZ.

Anyone know a place in Tucson to get my body mount chopped? Looking to get into some 35's or 37's by the end of the year.

Isn't it just a little trimming with a cut-off wheel and welding a plate over the hole?

It’s pretty soft and sandy out there. 4wd and/or airing down are pretty helpful. Clearance isn’t much of an issue though.

Looks like that decision was made for me earlier today....

Also got SPC UCAs, can't confirm but I was told they have enough play to work with 37's.
