Morning Matt. How is the new truck so far? (I'm sure great). Any dislikes now that you have had it for a short while?

I'm lovin it big time. Transmission is smooth as silk. Made by JATCO. Japan Automatic Transmission Company. 75% owned by Nissan. The 9 speed is a clone MB- 9Gtronic made under license from MBenz. The 3.8L V6 is best in class with 310 hp. Torque is 281. Not bad for a gas V6, but the competition's diesel has more torque. Rear anti sway bar is standard. Front impeller and rear drive shaft....Dana. All the 22 Frontier's get the 3.69:1 M226 rear diff that was only previously available on the Pro4x and the new gen Titan. The M226 is a beefy hybrid Dana 44. Bingo.....I researched. There are a lot of locker, limited slip aftermarkets to choose from. The Frontier has always had a fully boxed frame but was strengthened even more for 22. The new hydraulic assist rack & pinion is bulletproof. I was stunned! It comes with Hill descent, Hill assist. The transfer case actuator actually engages and disengages flawlessly which quite frankly is nice have. Nissan Zero Gravity seats that are used on Infinity's. Very comfortable. Mine has the deluxe cloth. The new for this model year dampened tailgate takes forever to drop down. Like a sloth. No real or fake chrome! Color matching all around. Underseat storage is standard on the Crew Cab. The rear seating is more space than my 14 DC. Rear seats fold forward! Not so great.....5ft bed.....meh, but I repurposed my bed extender and gives me 6' 10" overall with the tailgate down. Mine is labeled. 1260 payload. 6600 tow capacity. 8" head unit with 7" cluster display that can be switched to multiple gauges including inclemometer. Standard automatic collision/pedestrian radar. Four wheel braking fake limited slip similar to what our Tundras have. Only the Pro4x gets the e locker and full skid treatment. More front and rear headroom than my DC. Engine is quiet. Scary quiet for VVTi. PSA >>>>>>large transmission cooler! Main radiator plus two more split horizontally in front. WTF? Downside....my dealer doesn't have many accessories yet. There are supposed to be a lot of NISMO offerings too. FYI, my truck was built last month in Canton, Mississippi. A bummer>>> no overhead sunglass holder is a 1st world issue. All in all....a Taco killer easy, Yota will still sell more Tacos of course.

Get this.... a very interesting tidbit. Nisstec Lifts is highly recommended on my new Frontier forum. I'd take the 70 to 270 then exit York, head west over 270 and go a few blocks to @Toytec Lifts. Now, I turn right off York and go maybe a 1/4 mile to Nisstec Lifts!. It gets unbelievably weirder.....I called Nisstec and talked to "Michael". I explained that I was a Toytec customer and not only knew several of the employees there but that I also knew Doug, the owner. Not beer drinking buddies, but Doug knows me. It turns out that the owner of Nisstec, "Chris", used to work with/or for Doug at Toytec years ago. Apparently Toytec got a lot of Nissan folks going to Toytec. Enough that Doug thought Chris should start his own business to cater to the Nissan folks. Kuul beans! Chris recently bought a 22 Frontier. It was down at Hefty Fab getting "goodies" fitted a couple days ago which bodes well for us 22 Frontier owners. Crazy how things work out! Of course this may have not went down exactly like this. Michael told me that Toytec is working with Nisstec to offer the Aluma's for the Frontier! It's good to see two companies work together for the good of the local four wheeling community. What's good for one is good for all.

No longer have a Tundra of course but I intend to still post here. I know a few things about the 07's and up. Too many friends here. Plus the Cancer thread which I'm updating here in a few....like I said before I'm staying here!
