Hey, something I’ve been noticing recently. Dirty deeds budget system w/ resonator. I’ve got the 2 clamp on the exhaust and resonator both tight. Even so, the exhaust tip freely moves up and down to the point where it’s scratching the paint. @dirtydeeds 57C0C263-E5AE-4FFC-9F18-4A02449A930C.jpgBA1CA0E7-1B94-4AF5-BB05-86C937466A5B.jpg
    Anyone have a similar problem?

It looks like the tailpipe was twisted at the clamp behind the muffler. Loosen, adjust and retighten.

Is the clamp seated properly on the tailpipe flange and muffler outlet flange? In other words, are the flanges centered in the clamp all the way around.

I used to have a BAM and sometimes the factory clamp didn't hold the 2 together as well. I had to play with it a bit. Eventually went with this clamp recommended by @BlueBottle and it worked better with the BAM setup.

The factory tailpipe clamp might be worn out. Ive noticed it seems to stretch more now that ive tightened/loosened it a lot

The weight of the resonator may be causing the "loose" tailpipe to rotate counter-clockwise at the flange causing the end of the tailpipe to move upwards. But the issue is where the tailpipe flange meets with muffler outlet flange.

If re-adjusting and tightening your existing clamp doesn't work, replacing the clamp should solve your problem.

All of the above is correct. That clamp is only meant to be used by Toyota once. It just happens to be reusable. But for our trucks to have low end torque, you wanna use a stock tailpipe.

get a new gasket and clamp, tighten well. If still doesn’t work I’ll make you a new system. Just send back the old one. 760-877-4234

Thanks guys & Keith. I just went under and after looking at what y'all said, the clamp is definitely stretched. The bolt runs out of threads before the clamp gets really tight. I've been torquing the bolt down but it doesn't actually do anything. Just ordered that clamp posted above.

Not waiting on someone to ask, and putting yourself out there to make things right, is rare. Good on you, sir.

Keith is one of the greatest people I’ve ever purchased something from. His post shows that, but also during the whole purchasing process and walking me through every option. Everyone hyped up BAM and it’s all true.
