Yes BATS flying again at my place. Finished my yard work this evening sitting out on the deck and WHOOOSH one flies right by me.

Got a few seconds of video, I will see if I can get some stills from the phone.

So freaking cool, love my bats...

We went down to Carlsbad last year and seen the 500k bats fly out. It was so bad ass.

I heard bats eat over 1000 mosquitoes per day! Great to have around. We had a couple last summer.

    Flux capacitor!
If your ever in Austin Texas go to the Congress bridge in Austin at sunset. It has the largest urban bat colony in North America with over 1.5 million bats! It's amazing to watch the swarms of them take off.

Always cool to have around. Put up a few bat houses and you can be sure they'll be back every year. Very easy 1 day project to build.

They roost somewhere near here, cant figure out where but they are here every year without fail for 19 years. Most I have seen at one time was around 12. Normally you will see 3-5 fling around. Still pretty cool.

Am I the only one who don't like bats flying in the house. My youngest son broke the record (I think it was either the world-record or for the US) for the youngest infant to receive Rabbis vaccine for a rabid bat that was flying in the house. Actually the whole family had to get series of painful shots over several weeks. It was not fun, I tell you. We bat-proofed the whole house after that.

That's crazy! I offed a bat that got in my mom's house with a BB gun when I was young haha. The BB is still in her wall.

    Thug life.....

I always look forward to the return of the bats. As soon as they start flying around, that buzzing around my ears goes away. Wonder if the mosquitos can hear the bats.
