Truck goodies for non-perishable foods

This is cross posted in Arizona regional sub-forum. These items are available locally in Mesa Arizona, but can be shipped on your dime. I'm not sure how we can do the food trade, but we can work something out. The non-perishable food trade value is below (in some cases, immensely below) market value of the truck goodies...

I would like to gather some non-perishable food items to donate to a local charity for this holiday season. The charity that the food will go to is Sunshine Acres Children's Home. They help children who have been separated from their parents and help them readjust to life with stable parental figures.

With that in mind, I have the following for trade fodder...

• GONE... A set of console goodies, shift knob (has a ding on top left bottom), shift-gate (has a ding on top left) and cup holder trim from 2021 Platinum. $10 in non-perishable foods.
  

• GONE... A set of stock front shocks/springs and rear shocks from 2021 Platinum (black tubes). Removed at around 9,000 miles. They have been sitting outside, so there is surface rust on the nuts and upper bolts. $20 in non-perishable foods.
  

• A set of stock shackles. $20 in non-perishable foods.
  

• A stock spare tire, P255/70R18. $20 in non-perishable foods
  

• A set of Platinum rims. Minor curb rash, non-working TPMS. $100 in non-perishable foods.
  

• Another set of Platinum rims that were plastic wrapped for shipping, but it cost more to ship than what I was selling them for. Minor curb rash, no TPMS. $100 in non-perishable foods.
  • Adding estimated shipping costs on a set of wheels.
  • I got a shipping quote from UPS earlier this year to ship to 20176. This is what I was quoted:
    • $1,400 on a freight pallet and shipped all together
    • $800 boxed (my shrink wrapped job in a box) and shipped individually
    • $450 shrink wrapped (my shipping supply) and shipped individually (https://www.tundras.com/attachments/pxl_20210626_012738276-jpg.604240/)
      • I would not feel comfortable shipping the wheels without more padding, as the UPS clerk told me that the rims may get thrown around during shipment.
  • As you can see, the shipping is WAY crazy expensive. It might be a little cheaper to your zip code. If you are willing to spend more than what it costs for the wheels, I will take the wheels to UPS to get an actual quote.

• NOT AVAILABLE... RCI skid plate package, 10 gauge steel. Used but not abused. $450 in non-perishable foods. Bought it direct from RCI website. They are currently $645 from RCI with a 1-3 week lead time. Get it here and now.
  

I am in no rush to get rid of these, but would like to make the food donations before Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am in East Mesa, but can meet you within reason to trade.

Any of the following non-perishable foods would be awesome.

• Cereals and Oatmeal
• Chilis, Soups and Stews
• Canned Tuna or Chicken
• Peanut Butter
• Beans
• Canned Vegetables and Fruit
• Canned or Dried Milk
• Canned Tomato Products
• Rice and Pasta
• Broth (Beef or Chicken)

It wouldn't be fair to other local charities in the US. Politics aside, our country needs a lot of help and I think it starts at the state/county/city/town level.

I'm going on a tangent, but my kids are REALLY spoiled by both sets of grandparents with clothes and toys. Every few months, I go through their stockpile with them, let them "decide" what they can keep and donate the items they don't need/have outgrown to Sunshine Acres. My hope is that by teaching my kids to donate gently used items it helps them understand how to be compassionate and that they are helping other kids in need. It's a win-win learning experience and a small investment to our future.

I'm practicing what I'm preaching with my kids...although Sunshine Acres probably wouldn't accept the used truck parts, so I'm trading for non-perishable food items..

 

YAAAS! I organized a trail run for Sunday at Sycamore Creek... We can meet up there? If not, I don't mind making the trek to your side of the Valley...I can always use a trip over to Cabela's to oogle over the pew pew stuff.

 

I'm hoping to get the food items donated to Sunshine Acres before Thanksgiving and Christmas. Anything else is just gravy... pun intended.

 

you guys take cloths as well? I just clean up my kid's closet yesterday and I was going to drop them off at one of those donation bins. size range from 4T - some 8T.
