    Hi all,

I decided to cure the Turn Signal Recall on my own by repositioning the pins on the original harness. It looks perfect and yes I did notice a difference in brightness.

My question is regarding having the dealer update this on my records. Has anyone successfully had the dealer check their DIY work and resolve the open recall? My dealership won't do it, saying something about liability or whatever. I understand the recall's new harness update does the same thing, I just prefer to keep things neat and tidy, it's just me.

    Cheers everyone,
    Paul

I had self fixed mine last May when I discovered the wiring error. I made an appointment to have the 5k maintenance done along with a crooked steering wheel. I didn't mention that I had already fixed it myself. They returned the truck and the recall was closed

Interesting, maybe I'll do the same and see how it goes. The last service I made they specifically brought it up and I declined at the time.

I'm trying to find more info on the DIY fix for this TSB. Any help would be appreciated. Local dealers are almost always closed the times that I would be available to go in. Is this a quick fix from the dealer? Less than an hour?

Thank you sir. I also ended up reading a ton of other stuff about the directionals and the dimness and correcting it, so I ordered some LED bulbs to replace the stock ones. And now I will possibly delve into this repair, if possible.
