i am not sure on the price jump if you compared the jump from the 4.7L to the 5.7L engine from 1st gen to 2nd gen. it went from 4.7L 4wd dbl cab @ $33k to 5.7L 4wd dbl cab @ $39k

is the 5k-7k jump in engine change about right or is it too much or too little based on history and no inflation adjustment?

DAMN BRUH YOU JUST SOLD HER OUT.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Current TRD Pro (crewmax) is $53,400. Slightly less than $58k would put it in the $55-56k range which is what I hope to pay.

Appreciate the intel even if not offish.

I feel like I have heard several places, sweers interviews etc that for 2022, Platinum and 1794 are supposed to be placed above TRD Pro price wise. That would be a departure from 2nd gen though.

    Time will tell.

LOL, you do realize that 34k is the current 2021 starting price of an SR. so you are telling me you get a whole new truck and engine and drivetrain for the exact same price of the old 2nd gen?

errr wth that was not the post i quoted...sorry about that tama

No it's not. TRD Pro crew max is higher than the plat and 1794 crewmax 4x4 base.

That starting MSRP for the TRD Pro is for the double cab . The starting MSRP for the CM TRD Pro is $53,400 which puts it above the others.

yeah but you cant get a plat/1794 in double cab, so technically the crew cab is an option not a base config for a trd.

well i guess since you are comparing a trd pro vs plat/1794. not even the same in content or ever will have the same options.

You're confusing yourself brother. DC vs CM isn't an "option" it's a configuration. So if you compare identical base configurations the TRD Pro base is more expensive than the identical configuration of the platinum. Which was literally the entire topic.

but the trd pro base is a double cab, not the crew max.

Quick Question, in the 2022 Toyota Tundra Product Information PDF, what does the letters P, S and O stand for in the boxes next to the options. Thanks,

The pro will probably have additional dealer markup added to it for years to come. You will have to search nationwide for dealers that will sell anywhere near MSRP. The Tacoma TRD PRO's have been like this for years, every once in a while you will come across one not marked up, but not often. They usually have at least 5K ADM added to them....This was before Covid...

    Let's talk turning circle (curb-to-curb)!
I am compiling some online sources for this info, so please help me correct it if it's off. However, at first glance it appears that the turning circles these may have increased 4.5-6 for the same wheelbase(s). What I have here is
    '21 double cab 6.5 bed: WB 145.7 / Turning 44'
    '21 crew cab 5.5 bed: WB 145.7 / Turning 44

    '22 double cab 6.5 bed: WB 145.7 / Turning 48.6'
    '22 crew cab 5.5 bed: WB 145.7 / Turning 49.8'

Does the increase in overall length (~5"), or a wider wheel track affect this measurement? My understanding is that it's measured at the front wheels.
