Hey guys, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. So I just bought a set of Sierra 5.29 gears and a Eaton E-locker.

my question is, has anyone heard or used this brand of gears? Still waiting on them to come in. The hype is always Nitro but guys at ORW recommend Sierra gears instead.

Sierra has the highest profit margin. I’ve blown up 3 sets on my first gen tundra. The 5.7 being way bigger and over built probably won’t be as weak. But if the option is there to wait for nitro, that’s the recommendation.

You do not want noisy gears so get good ones. Also, have the installer buy the gears. This way he gets to pay to change them out if they are noisy. I learned this the hard way and about half the guys on here with 5.29’s had noise.

Damn, it'll be worth it, I love how mine picks up speed easily after gears, I've seen lots of ad of motive gears now too, is that legit? (Just curious)

My 4.88’s Motivs were loud as hell. I had to have them changed out after one week.

It has a 3 year labor and parts warranty. Half the guys here ran Sierras and all were noisy?!
