I think the 500 still gets the V8 and the other LCs get this 3.5TT V6 but I'm sure someone who knows more about Lexus will correct me if I'm wrong.

If you’re speaking of the LS, standard engine is the 3.5TT V6 and optional is a hybrid. The only V8 in passenger cars is the IS500, RC F, and the LC

I’m not trying to start a war here, but in most ways, this truck is behind Ford on paper in metrics and it offers less features. You may be right, but $70k the 1794 doesn’t make sense to me. As for the rest of them, I hope they know what they’re doing.

Downhill with a tailwind, the intake valves closed and the TC pushing the truck along? My brother can get his 5.3 to show a similar number if he resets the DIC at the right time.

    Hello all. First time poster.

Not sure what has been revealed/leaked in terms of MSRP yet. But I was at the Texas State Fair last night and talked to one of the Toyota reps at the Tundra booth. I asked what she knows about MSRP and she said "You didn't here this from me, but we were targeting $34k to $58k." Where the 1794 would be at the top and TRD Pro slightly less.

What an absolute joke, So....toyota sets up a towing comparison with 2 trailers, one...the airstream that is arguably the best towing trailer on the market due to the way it is designed and 2 an old aerodynamic nightmare that they tear the trailer weight sticker off of....lol.....

The $34k starting price would be similar to what it starts at now. I would expect a $2 to $3k increase over current prices.

The #s just can't be that high. They just can't. I mean, you can still get a very capable 2021 1794 Tundra for 55k. I just can't see the justification for an extra $15k PLUS markup? Ugh I'm so depressed.

Those are todays prices. New platform, new powertrain, tons of new tech. That would be a world beater to not move msrp

5.3L / 100KM is what the dash readout shows. That actually converts to about 44MPG.

I'm hoping they continue their trend of being on the affordable side. They have the ability to do that since they stick with their designs for so long

Don't be depressed. The top trims aren't crossing $70k and the entry trims aren't crossing $40k. I have a family member that works for Toyota corporate and he told me Pro and Platinum will top out around the low/mid 60s.

These numbers are pathetic and slower than the 5 7. Not that many people buy these teucks to race them, but for the money they are askibg, and the power numbers they claim there is no reason they shouldnt be in the mi/high 5 second range on the trd pro.

Where did you find these numbers?

I'm thinking these #s are due to pre-production models since these trucks were built a month or more ago. Maybe once Toyota dials in the computers we'll get the #s we are expecting.

Well they're not going to beat anyone with efficiency, performance, capability or looks so they might as well do it with price.

I hope it feels quicker because it will be changing gears more often to keep the engine on boost....
