Yeah, finding room for accessories, managing them in a truck bed, keeping them dust-free, no rain getting in, weight on the rear suspension is a problem. I would look at a high rise topper like the Leer 122. LEER 122 Truck Cap | Leer.com

New Tundra has rear coils so easy to install stouter aftermarket coils for constant loads like a Leer topper.

yes sadly that is my thought, if i want substantial, i will move up to a 250/2500. most people now a days want all the features/comfort of a highlander or lexus in a entry level full size truck. i personally cant stand the old truck feels, thats why i drive a 4runner, but the way they are moving the tundra, its a toss up to get a 4runner or more space and same level of comfort in a tundra.

TFL could also very well have worked out a deal and/or paid to be the first to announce the news. I mean they were the only media group to talk to Sweers at the first event.

^ Spot on. I get a kick out of the people complaining about modern trucks not being "real" or just being "grocery getters" for weekend warriors. The specs on this new Tundra will completely blow any of your "real trucks" from the 90's out 2000's out of the water. Modern trucks have double the power, are generally more reliable (engine/transmission only, not talking about advanced electronics), and way more pleasant to drive. The entire point of having different classes of trucks is that they have different capabilities. If you want a truck that rides like shit and can tow 15000 pounds then go buy an F-350.

THIS is amazing. Kudos to both of you for being adults, and doing it while on the internet!

I love that, for the most part, this forum is full of a lot of knowledge, opinions, and fun, but at the end of the day we can usually work it out when we have differences. Both winners for that.

TFL blows. Just a clickbait title for the live this afternoon. They did say that only the non-hybrid MPG was getting released tomorrow which sucks if it’s true and Andre just didn’t stumble over another made up claim.

It's not that HD trucks ride harshly, they're stiffer and give more feedback. Half tons are becoming more like Caddy's and Lincoln Town Cars in that they're becoming softer and less responsive. I myself far prefer how an F250 rides over an F150, I just feel so disconnected from the road in an F150. Hopefully Toyota has been able to keep the feedback from the road coming through while also giving a cushier ride.

There will be a lot of driving impression videos coming out tomorrow. TFL is not the only one.

I wonder why the embargo is set for the 12th? I assume that it coincides with Toyota releasing the remainder of information on the truck, like EPA fuel economy and hopefully pricing.

This slow drip of reveal is killing me. Maybe it will help train us for the slow drip of actual vehicle deliveries lol

According to the TFL video from today, they said that Toyota still isn't sure what the pricing will be, they are still working numbers with the suppliers and so forth. Not sure how much of that is truth or not.

It doesn't help that every drip they give us is mostly unremarkable.

You are honestly the only person I have ever heard say they prefer the ride of a 3/4 ton over a 1/2 ton. I prefer not to feel every Crack in the road, but more power to you. That's typically the reason most people don't go to a HD truck is because of the ride.

Hopefully they have plastic fender liners as an option. Not great for construction sites. Concrete, road tar and etc are a pain to get off that felt. The plastic liners are an option for the F250 to put over the felt.
