Catching up on some quotes so people don't think I'm ignoring them.

It would be nice to have a 1500w inverter. Why they don't have one...who knows. I can see a minivan having one since it has many charging ports, wifi capable, tv/entertainment system, etc.

So I have done some dispersed camping in my day and have never needed anything more than 400w of power (or any). Most people have either a simple solar system or rechargeable battery devices. Not to be an ass, but your list sounds like you want an RV, not offgrid for a few days or overlanding (whatever they call it now).

Space heater? 1500w You are not prepared to be out in the elements. Guess you could bring a propane heater to take the edge off.

Coffeemaker...even the best small ones use 450w. Sounds like someone needs to do a pour through or a french press.

Blender? Well I have a better option for you and your friends will think you're a god.
    http://www.gasblender.com/Order.htm
or you could use your own power... Crockpot? So to cook a pot roast (are you really going to bring a pot roast?) will take 1.5kWh to cook the meal at 108w per hour.

    Microwave/convection oven? sigh....

I don't haul a generator either when camping. Kinda the point to get away from it all. If I want all the above, we just hook to the RV and go.

All non-hybrid trims are available by end of 2021. You gotta wait for hybrid trims

My smoker only needs a few watts, and just when the auger is running.
I can do a 8 hour smoke without needing to start my truck

You should report me to the moderator, what I said is unconscionable. It's a terrible statement, I mean, am I right? "Wow" barely covers how terrible that statement was.

Oh, and the Gen2 Titan design was managed by a woman. So, there's that....

    God bless Mike!

Edit: I'm smart'n off to a mod! Lolz!

I went to a landscaping supply place to pick up a quantity of granite boulders for a tree surround project I was working on at home. I loaded the truck (2010 SR5 4.6L DC) watching the wheel wells and got the qty loaded and headed back to the scale. It sagged slightly but nothing drastic and I was shocked when the scale read +1900Lbs. The scale guy says he sees Tundras hauling more than that on a regular basis along with other 1/2 tons. I didn't want to unload and come back. He advised just don't take any fast turns or fly over bumps or railroad tracks. With my son and I (another 320lbs) it drove fine but I took it easy for the 15 mile drive home. I in no way recommend hauling a load this heavy in a Tundra, but, it handled it fine with caution. Again, not recommending doing it. I was amazed at how much the boulders weighed and how well the Tundra hauled them.

You are correct they have punched there numbers and are chasing a different crowd then they did with the previous trucks. But that doesn't make it any less disappointing for those who says Toyota Enthusiast that the new truck departs from what they need in a truck. Time will tell how is they have created a home run or not. I just bought the wife a 21' 4runner back in March and it will probably be the last Toyota I purchase going forward.

    A bunch
If they went up a load range (which they very well may have, 285/65R18 tires I've seen have been LT tires) it would lower the towing confidence - they're stiffer and harder compounds, both will hurt grip. And grip is the key to towing confidence - equal suspension and tires will mean the heavier vehicle will be tougher for the trailer to control the truck. They've made the truck lighter and most likely have lower grip tires if they are indeed 285 wide so have they made enough changes to compensate for these factors that will lower confidence to retain the same towing confidence as the current gen? Until people get towing with it day in day out we won't know, it's going to be in things that simple spec sheet can't show to say whether it's tows similarly.

Higher load range tires doesn't always mean harder compounds, it does mean stiffer sidewalls which does give a more stabile ride. Anyone who is serious about towing will get rid of the p rated tires that come on most trucks and put an lt tires on it.

I know I watched that vid a while back but IIRC the 5.0 did win by a smidge for mpg but struggled a LOT up the hill where the EB sailed up there effortlessly. Or I might have to watch it again!:D

do you do 100% of your driving towing? You must drive a 1 ton diesel then. obviously a v8 or ttv6 is not for you.
