Hey guys, my Tundra has 1 key and fob to start and drive and 1 spare key that only unlocks the vehicle. I need a second key that starts it and spare fob. Do I have to go to a dealer?

Shouldn’t have to. Reputable locksmith should be able to cut and program. 2018+ is a different story.

I believe keylessenrtyremotefob.com has OE units for much cheaper than dealer.

I got my replacement fob from them. Reasonably priced compared to the dealer.

Just make sure you order the correct fob. If I recall correctly, there are a couple of them and they aren’t interchangeable.

My new truck only came with 1 key and I bought the second one from eBay uncut, and programmed it myself with my laptop and Techstream. The kid at Big R cut the key for me. All in $42, but I already had the cable and Techstream. What year is your truck? Is it a G key or H key?

When I got my '07 truck. I only had 1 key and not even a key fob. I verified which type of key I needed by going to a locksmith website. Then ordered my key and key fob from Amazon. I got 2 keys (uncut) and 2 keyfob ordered for $14 & $20 if I remember correctly. Then I programmed the key and keyfob using techstream software. I then I took the key fob to Lowes to get it cut. The first Lowes give me some stupid reason for not cutting my keys. I just went to another Lowes and they cut the keys for free.

    Thanks for this.

Where is the best place to purchase the techstream software?
