No sir. It's a yamaha v6 with a Mazda trans. Plus the completley different suspension. But, I will concede it is a Ford body and electrical. For comparison:

Ford Vulcan 3.0 I robbed from google:

    d87e05ea.jpg

SHO yamaha 3.0 from my own car:

    20190421_171137.jpg

At the end of the day, yeah, it's a 30 year old Ford. But dammit, I love it!

Water pump is new, which leads me to beleive tstat. But I'm not 100% on which way coolant flows. Even though iirc hondas flow backwards...

Guy I went to HS with had one. Ugliest car ever excluding the Aztec, but it seemed plenty capable from what I watched him do with it. Lol

Nah, the one I'm thinking was from the 90s. That's a terrible vehicle in its own right though.

I'd paint the ugly little bastard black but I think they look like fun to drive. Much prefer a Samuari but if I saw one of these suzuki del sols for cheap...

I bet you have tons of SHOs for sale in your area. You should buy one of those. Or 2.

Not really... The SHO has a Yamaha engine in a Ford body. The TRD package on our Tundras is a joke.

Amigo. It was basically a 2 door Rodeo with a shorter wheelbase.

It's either a big bubble preventing appropriate flow of coolant, or your tstat has moved on to a better place.
Barring the tstat being wicked expensive, I'd just grab a new one and then drill a 1/8" hole at the top of the flange (inside the seal). That will ensure air doesn't get trapped behind it, preventing it from opening. It also won't allow enough water to bypass the tstat to change your normal operating conditions.

We have snow cats at work. Slow, loud, and require a metric $hit ton of maintenance. They do go just about anywhere that is wide enough, though.

These old classics are loud as fuck! AT&T never uses them except for emergencies, contract out to pro cat drivers usually. They just sit and rot away unfortunately. I spent some time grooming in a Bison X, that’s one hell of a machine!

Yeah, our company uses them a lot, but they are very maintenance intensive. They get tons of work done right before winter, and even then at least one or two will break down and need more at some point during the season.

My coworkers GF just got one of these. It seems ill be doing sliders and bumpers in the near future on it. Its pretty stout in the suspension and all, gonna be a fun build.

@Darkness My buddy @Dan_of_Earth needs help with wheel fitment and you’re the wheel guru. Both 17x9 one is 4.75bs and -6mm offset, other is 4.5bs and -12mm. Running 285’s, which will fit better in your opinion?

Offsets always confuse me but I would go 4.5 bs. 4.75 is aggressively deep inward and might be a recipe for control arm rubbing.

I never look at offset, just backspacing and the width. they have a few good websites that you can compare wheels by entering the specs
