In Tim's video, he made a point to say don't pay attention to the mpgs as everyone has been romping on them and offloading etc and that it is in no way accurate.

You have to remember they are riding in trails plus most videos I've watched those trucks are sitting idling for a long video. So those numbers that have been shown on the digital dash are not that accurate in my opinion

16.7 is pretty good for a truck in city...it's not a prius, it's not going to show 50-60 mpg.

That’s also getting romped on and idling for presumedly the entire time it came off the assembly line…

    Philosophical question:

If a V8 engine sound is played on a JBL sound system, will anyone hear it?

Just something to ponder on this Friday evening...

I like the looks of it, but it would be ruined after the first day of hunting season. I'm also curious about what skin oils will do to it from where you rest your arms.

kinda mute point since if you are concerned with that issue, you will probably get a seat cover anyway, which will hide the seat colors anyway. its like buying a house, the realtor always say ignore the wall color as you can always change it after you move it.

I wonder how much the subscription service costs. I didnt see Sirius radio at all. I know for some it's not a big deal, but I like my Sirius stations and don't have unlimited data to be streaming all the time.

could get spotify paid version, that will let you download the songs to your phone instead of streaming.

family plan for 6 people is pretty cheap if you spread the cost

$16 for 6 premium accounts = $2.67 per month for each account.

you take 33’s off. And then put 35’s on. But it’s very important you take the 33’s off first. This is where a lot of guys have troubles. They won’t fit on if there’s all ready a tire installed.

How are you ordering, two dealers that I deal with have no information.

I read this as going in to put a deposit down on or sign a commitment to order one of the new ones. I don’t think anyone has enough information or ability to actually place an order at this time. A dealer will be happy to get your signature, and even better your money, well in advance of an actual ability to provide you with a good or service. Just my opinion based on the two dealers on my area.

I dunno about all of this, it just doesn't seem that they completely figured shit out yet even after working on this forever.
I'm really leaning towards getting a RAM Backcountry and drive it a couple years and see what is going on after that. At that point maybe the redesign of the Tacoma will be kickassier than the Tundra

I wonder if something like a JL clean sweep would take out that fake exhaust noise. Looks like I may try the keep the head unit route (as much as I hate that) since you have to replace half the dash with the huge screen lol.

maybe stock head unit to clean sweep then to amps and real speakers and subs etc.

That's a good thing in my opinion, so many cars have poor headlight/turnsignal setups that make it hard to see the signal when approaching. Turning the headlight off makes it very hard to ignore the turn signal.

I can show you 20+MPG on my 2021 Tundra. Was cruising at 50MPH and the number just kept climbing. Those MPG clips don’t mean much.

On the Tacoma forum I know that some owners put fifth wheel hitches in to tow small fifth wheels like the Escapes but it wasn’t something Toyota recommended. I wonder if Toyota will have an issue with customers installing a fifth wheel hitch on the new Tundra?
