    Those parts are stupid expensive, and finicky to get installed correctly. Others here have taped the trim off, and painted it with plasti-dip, or black paint of your choice. Most here prefer rustoleum. Mysely included.

    half peeled off the other half still stuck on it but brittle! No way i can peel it by hand.

    Scrape it off with a razor blade. Trying to find posts others made about painting those. You'll paint right over any scratches made in the metal below.

    Interesting. Mine are still black but the black was peeling. Then I stopped peeling it cause it looked like it was integrated with the window wiper somehow. Are they supposed to be chrome or black?

    It is chrome under it. I hate chrome.

    That's exactly what I did. Wear gloves, heat it with a heat gun, and slowly pulling off. When it's cool with some remaining small pieces, use razor blade to scrape them off.
    I then painted primer, flat black, and matte clear coat on it.
