Does any one else feel liked they are being choked to death from the drivers side seat belt. i've tried many ways to adjust it, but it always finds it's way back to my neck. And that head rest. I'd rename it Headache, because that's what I get from a long drive. It promotes good posture that's for sure, but it's super uncomfortable. These two things are really annoying. BTW I'm pretty small, like 5'5". Any thoughts would be most welcome from the girl!

Lol. I use a binder clip to keep it from retracting and garroting me.

I'm actually surprised, the retractor on a 1st gen we're usually pretty weak. Mine was.

Does your belt extend at the top?

    Mine does, it helps.

My grandma had a cushion made like 3” tall and my grandpa and i cobbled some pedal blocks in case she ever needs to drive his ‘21 taco with a hood scoop.

I'm with you on the head rest. I drive without it occasionally in long trips. To me it pushes my head forward, I prefer one that is flat with the back rest.

I did try swapping the head rest from the rear seat to the front, that improved the angle, but those are so firm it was like resting my head on a 2x4.

These work great for the choking problem. Just put the belt on, pull a bit of slack, and clip to the belt right in front the upper guide (over your left shoulder) so the belt can't retract any more. Cheap and very effective. The ergonomics kind of suck for me too.

Wow I thought I was the only one. I'm 5'7" and I also feel choked so I often wear it under my arm.. which I know is not as effective, but it beats getting your neck rope burned.

I have not even explored adjusting the headrests. Is it possible to do that?

PS - my photo is of the 2008 still, since I have not heard a word from LEER about my cap for my 2021 model! I am going to have a cheap tonneau installed today because I'm sick of shoveling water, and soon snow, out of the back. I am trying to keep it clean. It's a girl truck after all.

BTW, are you in Grafton MASS or NH?

    :)

Thanks! Clothes pins are useful for many unusual applications... ;)

I flipped my head rest 180 and now love it.

I'll even tell you the truth how "I" figured it out.
I was so annoyed by the head rest I went to the local upholster and was going to have him re build the stock one to my specs, when he "suggested" I flip it.... Yeah I'm a dumbass.
