Likely the same that others do, they recommend a WDH above a certain weight threshold which generally is around 5,000-6,000 due to the very reason you mention. I will say this, if it's anything like Ram and their coil sprung rear end a 12k trailer is going to be damn fun in one of the non-air ride models. I would almost guess that 12,000lb rating is only for 2WD models with airbags and not the normal suspension. Has anybody grabbed actual tow rating for say a fully loaded TRD Pro? I've only see the payload rating which is 1,455lbs.

It’s a fully box frame, it could go semi rating

The max payload rating will go with the max tow rating on the trucks because both are only obtainable on the most stripped down and basic trucks. You're cherry picking a payload that would never have that tow rating with it. If the new trucks max tow is 12k and the max payload is 1800 then you would have 600 lbs. (Just pulling the numbers from thin air.)

Who cares about MPG. I’m not getting a 3rd Gen until they have tailgate speakers.

Why is towing only 8000 lbs in that truck?

fake engine noise with the JBL audio......

The double cab is a huge let down compared to the current gen tundra, they went backwards on that. Toyota had the only double cab that actually had decent rear seat room and they went away from that.

Having heard these tailgate speakers in-person, you could definitely get a better BT speaker that could run off the outlet in the back of the Tundra.

It wouldn’t be built-in, but you also wouldn’t be embarrassed to turn it on.

I would not touch any "Toyota" with a BMW engine.
    Hell no.

Every BMW fans says "but this time, they're more reliable" or "but Toyota was involved".
    Yeah right.
BMW makes good YouTube fodder for cars that are too expensive to maintain when a bit older.
I've been around cars a long time, and I've heard "but they're getting better" for decades, yet, here we are.... I'm looking at you BMW and Ford!

yea the bedliner on the composite bed comment was interesting and she did not know it was a Double Cab and not an extended cab.

The tech boys will appreciate the fake V8 sound over the speakers. Hopefully they didnt screw up the SR or SR5 with that garbage

The DC back seat is almost touching the front console. my 96 Z71 extended cab wasn't even that bad. Shorter cab should bring price way down right?? Lol

I doubt it will bring the price down, they should of just did a suicide door back there with how abysmal the rear seating area is.

In the Mike Swears interview, he made it sound like it was more of a nonslip coating than a spray in bedliner.

I agree. I've watch so many videos show the rear seat of the 2022 Double Cab... WHY make this area so confined with a lot LESS leg room than the what the current generation Tundra has. This may be a deal breaker. So disappointed.

I can only assume it’s because you can go CC with the 6.5’ bed. Although, I’ve heard a number of folks on here encourage us all to wait for the official measurements to be posted.

I've been keeping an eye on the Southeast Toyota inventory site, and the latest availability dates I'm seeing are Oct. 28th. <sigh>, those must be from this last crop. :(

Wow the rear of that double cab is tight, Tim is a super short dude too, I can’t remember my double cab being that tight in the back but that was long ago . I’m crewmax now anyways , size specs should be interesting, seems like most of the size was put up in the nose overhang

I like this guys vids, he's usually pretty good. But I'm confused why he would think a D/C would come with a roll down rear window when they never came with them to begin with, and this new one looks even smaller. :monocle:
