Yeah, the super tall wheel wells and flares make it look even smaller, and the fact that the wheels are brought to the center more.

When the specs come out, as mentioned above, I wonder if the new interior space will be similar to the competition. Coming out of an F150, that rear door/space is like a '70s Caddy and I am not surprised if it actually reduced. I love it and would want it if I got one, but I am guessing the overall market wants more bed space and the overall feeling is that much room isn't needed in a pickup.

Same here. I could ride behind myself for hours comfortably. It’s better than a Tacoma or 4Runner back seat.

It’s probably going to be a 50/50 split for people complaining about more bed space or more interior space. I think the majority of people it won’t Matter if they shorten it up by a few inches on the inside. The difference between me (5’11) having 14” of room between my knees and the backseat and having 8”-10” means nothing. Either way people will complain and either way they will probably sell a gazillion of these trucks.

I'm looking at going back to the DC for longer bed and higher payload for towing. I had two AC Tacoma's and miss the longer bed. Especially hauling my 11.5 ft kayak. In two years I've had someone in the back seat once. I have used the back seat area for hauling stuff many times.

I know the Crew Max back seat(leg room) is smaller especially in the headroom area. I’m assuming the DC has less leg room as well.

I did the same on my 20, went with DC and 8ft bed. Only issue is my payload is still only 1290lbs, I hope it’s increased for the 22’s.

You must have the Platinum trim?

Edit: just saw 8 ft bed. That would be heavier with the extra length than the standard bed.

No SR5, I believe you can only get the 8ft bed in SR/SR5. I think on mine I have the 38 gallon tank and that bad boy probably eats up around 200lbs or so on payload

My CM Platinum also has the 38 G tank but is only about 100 lbs less PL. That extra bed length must add a lot of weight.

Kind of ironic to get the longer bed to haul more but then don't have the PL to haul squat.

Plenty of payload to haul, just not going to be able to tow the 30' campers that people think any truck should haul "cuz it's a truck."

Not one bit. I am not a fan of all the tech-y crap. I’m a “less is more” type of guy. I could care less about a 14” screen, hybrid, turbo, blah blah blah. The styling isn’t for me either. I have 0 regrets for buying a 2020- “old model”. But I’m old, crusty and set in my ways.

I think the dc back seat will be fine for us regular sized people under 6’ but what worries me is how small the door opening is. It looks like I have bigger back doors on my Tacoma access cab. I often slide ice chests and stuff back there.

My 2.5 gen DC was sometimes tough to get larger boxes and coolers into but it worked for the most part. This new one looks tight. I'm rethinking my decision on the new DC now. I think I would have to add a new $2500 bed topper. At that point I may as well just pay for the CC.

As long as forward facing car seats fit in the DC and a rear facing in the center that's what I will get. Definitely going to have to go test fit before purchase....

I'm definitely bringing the cooler to test out if I can get it into the backseat of the DC. If not, I'll just get a CM 6.5 bed. Wonder what the price difference is?
