I didn't let anything happen because I figured she was drunk.. It was my friends birthday his mom's boyfriend was in a store buying us beer. We were in an old Blazer and I was eating Twizzlers. She said she wanted one of my Twizzlers and was all over me. Again, I figured she was just drunk. When we got back to the house, my friend looks at me and says "You can #$%^ my mom if you want." I said "She's drunk." and figured that was why she was all over me.

Next morning, I get up and go into the dining room. His mom was a nurse and had left for work already. On the table, there was a bag of Twizzlers with a note that says "Joel."

OK. yeah - that is old. My parents had inkwells.
and my mom always talks about these little rubber suction cup darts they would shoot out of a peashooter at the blind nun's coke-bottle glasses.

I’ve got a lot of stories like that. I could have been a player but my conscience usually gout in the way. That, and low self-esteem. Which really made no sense. Around that time, it was summer and my parents were at work. I was just getting out of the shower. I heard someone knocking on the door so I answered it in my towel. It was a pretty Jehovahs Witness girl, a little older than me, and two younger ones. She apologized but kept talking to me, left a pamphlet and took off. About 10 minutes later, she showed up at the door again without the two younger girls. I wish I could remember what she said and why I didn’t ask for her number. Another head slapper. I can go on and on.

Fortunately, my conscience wasn’t very loud.
I took advantage of many opportunities.
I did miss a few though.
Those are the ones you remember most.

Here’s a question for the folks who have spent time outside..
What’s the most amazing, unusual, special thing that you have gotten to see?
I figure most of us have seen osprey and eagles catching trout or salmon, which is pretty cool, and lots of us have seen snakes eating a rat or frog. A friend of mine watched an eagle pick up a little white tail deer. It got dropped after a short bit.
I’m gonna hold mine in reserve to see what I’m up against…

He has super cool designs, and they disappear just as fast as Toms do. I ordered stuff a month ago, and already a bunch of new stuff, and a lot of “old” stuff is already gone.

I've got several girls and guns pics saved from over the years.

Not a pinup, but did seems appropriate for this group, thread, and forum.....

All right so I have told people lots of times that rattlesnakes fuck standing up, cause I’ve seen it. Saw other snakes doing it before, but they just roll back and forth on the ground.
When I saw this I was in my early 20’s, dove shooting near Picachio Reservoir, between Tucson and Phoenix. This was long before the time of computers and digital phones so I pulled the picture from the innerweb…2AB8F39A-C8D4-4A79-9863-0A2DA5336CFD.jpg

I try to never be more than 10 strides from a gun. But my mossburg is not appropriate for a lot of situations. Generally speaking, lol, my Walther.40 is much less “intrusive”.

A bull elk kill another bull elk. Gored him in the chest. Picked him up and slammed him on the ground. Said elk got up ran 30 yards blood pouring out of him and collapse.

A cougar kill a deer I was also stalking. I had gotten in front of the deer and was waiting for it to come to me. It stopped, acted nervous, like it smelt me. I was pissed thinking no way it could smell me, wind was in my face. Cougar came out of now where and pounced, tackled, kicking flesh, grass, and soil everywhere. Over in mere seconds.

A big horn sheep walk down 2,000' steep cliff, drink some water out of the river and walk back up said cliff in 20 minutes. Would have taken me all day just to go one way.

Stealhead spawning in a small creek. Went from clear water to milky white.

Pheasants fighting. Looked like a cock fight you'd see in the movies. Feathers flying, fast kicks and wing flips, went on for about 3 or 4 minutes and then the loser flying off.

A young porcupine singing to me. Made a makeshift blind out of weeds. It would walk up to me and chirp at me, walk off and come back and do it again. I got video of that, but no YouTube account to upload here.

Damn brau, that’s a pretty awesome list! I figured you would have a few! I learned long ago that the people who kill the most game are the ones that see the most game. And the people who see the most are the ones that spend the most time looking. It’s got very little to do with gadgets.

A lot less glamorous, but one of my favorite ones was watching a shrike take a cardinal out of the air, right in front of me. Nailed it.
