TOW MIRRORS

Looks like they have done a great job with the tow mirrors. Ram tow mirrors are winning out of trucks on road today even though they are too long. My cummins they were so long it felt like a lot of work just to lean over to see out of them in the up "TOUCHDOWN" position. Looks like tundra has taken that design and made it right by making them squarer and not so long.

I dont want power extend fold or rotate because they are way to expensive to fix/replace. I want them to slide in and out manually with no wide angle part at the bottom. No need for puddle lights or running lights in mirrors so hopefully none on it.

 

The manual shows a switch for puddle lights so at least some trims have them.

 

Why would anyone not want tow mirrors on any trim

 

I agree. With the current gen can't even get the OEM mirrors on the higher level trims due to BSM etc.. Just stupid.

What’s crazy is that they are including power fold/extend tow mirrors on their lower lines. I don’t think any other manufacturers are doing this, on Ford you have to go to the Lariat trim to get that option so kudos to Toyota.

 

Probably why Andre was so excited. I think he owns a lower trim Ford

 

Them new tow mirrors are legit. My only complaint is how all the powered movements drive up cost unnecessarily. Man I hope manual options are available. Get ready to pay $800 each or more to replace the powered ones with genuine toyota parts.

 

I believe I saw him in his hybrid F150, the one with the highest power output.

 

I can see your point, but my truck came standard with tow/haul mode, a 4-way and 7-way trailer plug, hitch, and onboard brake controller. It's apparently intended to pull loads whether I do or not. Why not tow mirrors?

We pull an 8-foot wide RV, and the mirrors are just a tad too narrow to see past the RV and down the lane on both sides. We can see far enough back that I feel OK about lane changes, but if someone's coming on putting 25 or 30 miles an hour on us we could irritate some.

I put a rear camera on the RV, so with that we've got it completely covered. We check the mirror for people beside or close behind us then the camera monitor before wandering over.

 

I like tow mirrors, especially power fold (don't have them yet). However, just me, but boy do I NOT like the look of RAM tow mirrors.

 

I had the same options but until you upgrade to tow mirrors or use them, you would not believe what an improvement they are over stock ones. world of a difference.

I was spoiled by my F250 tow mirrors, so when i bought the Tundra, I have to have tow mirrors. Huuuge difference, I basically don't have blind spots anymore. BSM is there as a backup system
