Probably a dumb question, but does the addition of a transmission cooler effect how transmission fluid changes are performed in the future?

Given the lack of a reply, I guess it was not such a dumb question after all.

Cooler adds more fluid = good! Drain and fill is what needs doing, so no the procedure is the same, unless you are looking to do the drain and fill enough times to change all the fluid. So it might take an extra one or two times.

No, it goes inline with the current cooler. It only adds about 1/4 qt of fluid. No one changing the fluid under the truck would even notice.

Shouldn't affect the radiator at all. It doesn’t block much airflow or put out much more heat in front of it that wasn’t already there. It just adds more cooling surface area for the transmission fluid.

Thanks for the reply. So when you change the tranny fluid, you just drain and refill per the current procedure.

There is a different kit for the 19+ trucks. You’ll need the thermostat and lines. There’s another thread about it and it’s on his website too.

Never mind. Brain fart. I forgot about the lines that don't run to the from of the truck.

That radiator is overly secured to the mounting bracket, 12 screws lol. Meanwhile, I can only count 3 screws securing the mounting bracket to the vehicle.

The bracket is extremely secure with the 3 bolts securing it.

I don't. I build the brackets in CAD and send the files to a shop for CNC and powder coat.

Have you installed the cooler and if so, do you have any comments?

Just installed additional cooler on my 2017.
    Nice kit easy install.
I did some modifications because of my winch controller box placement.
So I relocated cooler on driver side.
Just drilled one extra hole on the bottom and got longer hoses.

I have not installed yet. Wrapped up renovating a house to get on the market so the cooler is on the back burner for a winter project. I will say that the packaged kit looks top notch. It will be a simple install.

I know its offtopic somewhat, forgive me, yet I am curious how the stock trans fluid cooling for 11-18s takes place if the A/C in On and Off, is the cooling affect/reduction in heat the same? Meaning does it matter if I have the a/c on or not, thanks.

No need for the AC to be on. The cooler is just integrated into the condenser. If anything, the cooler will work slightly better with teh AC off due to the condenser getting warm when the a/c is running, but that is negligible.
