SFX-A is the platinum and the 1794 is the B, I believe . I asked for that comparison, and that's what the dealer provided.

omg i almost had a fit they only put in the 10way driver seat, but then realized later in the listing, the broke out the 4 way lumbar, so technically its a 14 way driver seat.

So the 1794 doesn't include wheels or tires?

I'm confused. Payload on a Platinum is 1664 and the GVWR is only 85 higher than the 2.5 gen? Where did they cut almost 400 lbs from these trucks?

    Composite bed
    Smaller engine
    ?????

If this is real sign me up.

looking at the package list, looks like the platinum has everything we want as standard. only have to worry about PIO as it doesnt look like any packages will be available to add on to this trim. sorta like the 2022 sequoia platinum trim (no packages period) only optional add ons

Yeah, it would be nice to see some pics and info on the double cab. I'm still skeptical of these payload numbers. A DC should have a couple hundred pounds more PL than the CM. So a Platinum DC with 1850 PL doesn't seem possible when the stripped down basic 2WD DC will be under 2000.

I could be wrong, but I'm going to guess this is actually just the opposite. In the past the 1794 had just a "Standard" thing or two or packages over the Platinum; such as the 20" wheels standard and the TRD Off Road package as an option (not offered on the Platinum).

Very well might be, just too little detail out right now to be sure about anything. Going from the info I’ve seen, the official release commercial showed a chromed out 1794 while the walk through model was a 1794 with off-road package that saw a black grille vs the chrome one as well as other trd options. So it looks like that TRD package may be offered on the 1794.

This sale order sheet was also posted by another member which primarily shows accents being the large difference between the two packages. Only time will tell...

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Not sure who else they would use that would be better in the segment or price range. Toyota isn’t going to step on Lexus’s Koolaid and offer a Mark Levinson system.

That's a change from previous years. My '20 1794 came with the same standard wheels as the Platinum. As a matter of fact, the 2020 1794's spec sheet was identical to the Platinum except for the interior and the grille. Some options were available only on one or the other, but the base truck only had those two differences.

Toyota spec sheets call the 1794 a Platinum. A VIN check on my 1794 indicates a Platinum. They're the same truck except for the specific interior and grille features. Up until the 2021 models, they were even priced identically.

I notice that a heads up display is listed as equipping the Platinum and 1794. I can’t imagine it not being on the TRD Pro and optional in a package for the limited too.

Excellent news and totally overlooked up to this point by press covering the release. We have a HUD in our 2015 Chevrolet SS, and I have grown to really appreciate that feature.

Well I don’t think the Pro gets the heated/vented rear seats or the thigh adjustment/support in the front that (at least) the 1794 gets, so let’s hope this isn’t dropped from the Pro also.

With any luck the HUD can be optioned if not standard.
