Ok so I have an 07 with the 5.7 in it and when I crank up my truck on the first start up of the day Ive noticed a medium sized cloud of white smoke out the exhaust which I know is most likely oil being burnt somewhere. Smells like burnt oil too. But it only happens on the days after I floor it for fun or maybe even 3/4 throttle. Its done this since I bought it 2 years ago and I didn't notice it when I test drove it or I might would've reconsidered getting it.
I assume it could be a head gasket leaking through but I'm not positive and Im not a mechanic just a DIY guy so I could use some insight. Anyone have an ideas of what this could be? Any help is much appreciated!
I bought this truck with the intent on keeping it for a couple decades so I want it to last.

1.) oil getting low on the dip stick or coolant getting low in the reservoir
2.) go ahead and run a combustion gasses test for the coolant and oil
3.) check the spark plugs for oil on the end find out witch one is the worst
4.) preform a compression test of all cylinders and leak down

take notes and lemme know what the results are so we can go from there. :)

White smoke is usually water, dark smoke is usually oil.

Temps change in your area recently? Could just be condensation.

You don't say how many miles are on the truck, how often you drive the truck or how far it's driven between starts. Two years later, and only after a "spirited" drive, not sure it's an issue I would be too concerned about.
