Here's whats on tap in the coming weeks, Photos will be posted as work is completed.

Completed work to date - Front window tint 40%

Already purchased (being installed 5/11/2017) - SnugTop Tonneau cover with remote keyless access. Bed Rug and 2 swing boxes.

Next known purchases - TRD Pro color match grill with hood bulge. Front color matched Bumper ends. AMP Research PowerStep Running board. Leveling kit.

I will be de-chroming my truck with exception of the 1794 badge.

Still deciding on a few things and would love folks to chime in. I love opinions and the stronger the better. I fully expect a few to call me a dumbass for my ultimate decisions haha.

Do I color match the mirrors and door handles or do I go with flat black? I'm worried about overwhelming the truck with too much Blue. I like contrast.

Next are the wheels (keep in mind its a 1794 edition truck). Trying to decide between a bronze or anthracite wheel. See pics below and weigh in please.

Lastly are tires. I won't be off roading with my truck (other than fire roads and county roads in the San Bernardino mountains). This is a daily driver. I am looking for a light truck A/T tire with very little to no road noise and a smooth ride. I would go with a passenger HT tire if it could support the weight and fill the wheel well but thats nonexistent. I'm interested in the Hankook DynaPro ATM for its quite and smooth ride. Please share thoughts and ideas on other tires.

    Color match or flat black?

color matched handles. Black or color matched mirror caps. If your gonna leave the chrome 1794 badge then the grey looking fuel wheels would look awesome.

    See fine print
Handles color matched. Mirror caps can go either way.
    I like Anthracite wheels myself.
    Look into Falken wildpeak 2's.
Also since you have a bed cover, look into getting pop & lock and led lighting for the bed!

    Good start !

Here's black handles. I want to color match. I think it's looks way better. I'm not a fan of the color matched mirror caps but the whole mirror color matched would be really nice

I also really like the bronze wheels on a blue truck, if I was gonna buy wheels I'd do bronze for sure.
Check out Michelin tires. I think you can get the defender ltx ms in a decent size or the ltx AT2's. I had the dynapros on my tacoma, they looked good but I wasn't impressed overall, mostly in the snow and they were a little loud but not as bad as some ATs I've had.

I know almost everyone hates chrome (me included) but the 1794 is the "fancy" trim on this truck. I actually think your truck looks great with some chrome. Keeps that fancy look that matches the nice interior. Just my opinion which will probably be the only one like this LOL

Great looking truck. I like the mat black handles and mirrors. Maybe I just detest the chrome so much haha. Color match is probably a good way to go. Thanks for the pic of your truck, it helps seeing it.

I appreciate your comments. And you might be right, but I think the overloaded the chrome on this one. I did buy this model for the interior finishes though. Its so plush in the cab. Thanks for your encouragement.

Color matched handles, grey wheels, toyo open country, and gotta do something with those headlamps...I suggest wait for someone to make a harness for the 2018 OEM lamps. Good luck and love that color

Got the wheels today. Chose the Bronze to match the interior and the bronze/brushed copper "1794" emblem.

I went with a more aggressive color and style of wheel on mine than i originally was contemplating. It turned out that they work really well in my opinion.

I don't say this to take emphasis off of your truck. I say this to relate to your decision. I LOVE YOUR LOOK!!!!!!
The more aggressive contrast is awesome on that blue truck. I'm looking at yours and wondering if i shouldn't have chosen blue.

@COMiamiFan don't hate me for saying that. I'm just liking the color contrast

Royal blue was my third choice. I love all Tundra colors, but blue/black with bronze is legit. Never thought of it until I saw it posted on this forum.

i had thought of it because i had been shown pictures from Toyota a few years ago when i was looking for my Tacoma. I don't normally go for the blingy look but i'm pretty sure i could get used to the blue/black/bronze color once i got it...especially if it's a Tundra.

Just a funny fact...today i went back to TACOMA WORLD for an hour or so and those trucks look good, but kinda weenie when i've been on here so much today

Thanks Mark, I appreciate the compliment. The bronze wheel was just so distinctive and so few (I know no one) that ride those wheels or the bronze color on their wheels. I had to do it. So again, thanks for the props.

The chrome is still bugging me. I need to order the color match front bumper corners, mirrors and door handles. The front grill is growing on me some, but I still think its overkill. I'm contemplating painting the chrome hood bulge and the "frame" surrounding the center grill to match the color of the truck. Then I'd still have the 1794 distinctive chrome center grill. We shall see. Time to update my profile picture :)

I couldn't begin to justify the OEM bumper caps am I'm going with a other option. The grill and hood bulge combo was a no brainer. Had to replace that. I went with the PRO grill which I don't see very often where I live

I like the Pro Grill, but I don't like the "Toyota" across the front. I want more understated. The Toyota emblem is bad enough. Its been suggested to me that I replace it with a Lexus "L" emblem LOL.

    That'll get em.

To me a grill with no lettering looks a little odd. I really like the Toyota across the front. I thought about painting the lettering black to knock the attention off but after looking at it about 567,352 times I decided the grey lettering complements my gunmetal wheels

currently I'm riding the stock running boards offered on all 1794 and Platinum edition Tundras. However, I'm soon going to replace them with the AMP research power glide running boards that tuck under and virtually disappear. That will greatly improve the look. Thats the next purchase, perhaps as soon as June 15th.

Oh, and My wife has given the moniker "Big Blue Beast" to the truck and recently allowed her to be known as " The big blue bug assassin " while on a 3000 mile california oregon coast vacation. I had to wash her 3 times in a week, the bugs were so bad :)
