Trying to install now but this things looser than a dick in a bucket! Just falls out with only 3 top clips holding it in. What am I missing?

Doesn’t it snap into the climate control panel as well?

Yeah just the 3 clips at the top were loose. Mainly the center one wasn't retaining anything so the two sides couldn't hold on their own. I was able to make the center clip fatter by wrapping the tab with some electrical tape then forcing the clip on. I also installed the factory stereo brackets with the 4 10mm bolts so that they hugged the sides of the new unit, but they don't bolt to it. Then with it all snapped together it's okay. Still not super solid but I guess the factory radio wasn't much more solid as it just has a plastic face panel attached with 4 very small screw as well.

Performance so far is awesome! Can't wait to finish off install with USB ports in the factory switch spots, load up some media, and take a long road trip!

Sounds good! Have fun with it. I haven’t even started breaking the surface with what it can do. Just enjoying the wireless CarPlay mostly.

It looks good. That's the one I'm trying to get. Any issues? Does it rattle or rub against the surrounding panels?

No rattles but it does not fit without modifications. You basically need to shift the entire screen towards the passenger side and up to make it fit without hitting the side panel.

Anybody tried using the Dasaita dashcam?

I have basically the exact same one in my car and had one in my Tacoma, the kit from Dasaita comes with connections to hook up to radio.

Few questions for anyone who purchased units before. What's the difference between Dasaita Scout, Vivid and Max10? Also would 13.3" unit fit tundra (I was them one eBay and Amazon)?

I cant comment on the Scout. But the Vivid is "newer" than the Max10, you get 5G support and they described the screen as more vibrant and colorful than the Max10 (read on another forum). Internally though other than the 5G the chips, Ram ect are identical.

Curious is there's an update out there for these units from those running them. I am really on the fence about going this route. I've had enough car stereos stolen out of my vehicles the "OEM" look of these really has my attention over any unit from the Old Guard of aftermarket stereos. But the reliability and sound quality concerns have me taking pause. Sound wise I think I have it squared away running these through an Audiocontrol setup, found a great thread by TundraTex on his aftermarket amp setup.

Anyone have any words of encouragement or discouragement? Thinking about pulling the trigger on one today before they're impossible to get from China within the next 6 months.

I’m still very happy with my 10.2 Max10.
I had a couple of issues a few weeks ago with Bluetooth disconnecting and volume lowering, but I think it was an Apple issue as it started and stopped during these run of updates on my iPhone.
I still haven’t tried other features like carlauncher but I do have a Bluetooth ODBll scanner and the Torque app. Still lots of capabilities I haven’t even started yet.
Sound is good enough for me. I’m not an audio junkie. I did have some humming from the speakers, but a few tweaks with the speaker connector on the back of the radio eliminated almost all. I can’t hear it now.

Wow, I took a look break from troubleshooting the rear cam... I was actually looking into after market cams and I stumbled across a YT video that provided instructions on some settings under 'Car'. They said to Enable the Prohibit Reverse option. I know I tried this previously and it didn't work; however, after all the tweaks, pokes, and adjustments I made since then apparently it works! Here's a pic of the screen to help guide ya!

OMG WHY WOULD YOU PUT YOURSELF THROUGH ALL THAT AGAIN?! My success w/ this HU is parallel to my getting my Ph.D. (which I don't have).

I’m sure some combination of the right settings allowed it to work.
It’s crazy how different things seem to be. Mine worked almost flawlessly with only the right CANBuss harness.

I've been running my HU for 10 months now and always have crisp sound from the HU built-in mike (says the people I speak to. I use BT, solely.) Could be in your amp settings under 'Car' then 'Voice'. All my sounds are perfect after tons of tweaks.

You'll love your HU after you get it installed and customized. To me, the AGAMA Launcher is the best.

Question for the Android users. Is it possible to get Android Auto working wirelessly? Getting tired of being tethered when I wanna go AA over AGAMA Launcher. I tried over and over to no avail. Thanks!

mine was not loud/clear. Example. These volume max out at 36 correct?
With the stock amp i would have to turn up the volume to at least 16. With the window down it have to turn up higher. Yes i have jbl. Forget when calling through Bluetooth. You really have to pay attention to hear the other people. These Voice Setting or Volume balance setting are all turned up to max.
With an amp the normal listening and still hold a conversation without talking loudly is, 7. Before it was 16. So for my experience. The amp really help. Bluetooth calling is much louder also. At one point before the amp, o have the volume turned up to Max while calling on bt and still have a hard time hearing.
Perhaps your unit was updated with better firmware. But i know my joying wasn’t as good. Last update available was April2020. No more update last I checked.
But, if you are happy with yours that’s all it matter. I supposed it will be different for each user.

I'm still tweaking things years later. Could be that I'm using wireless Android Auto that is causing it. Could be my phone, itself. I just need to troubleshoot more. It's frustrating for sure.

Works fine. You need to update your MCU and Android version (which will update Zlink to allow for Wireless AA).

if you slide your finger from one of the major functions to the middle of the screen, you can add additional shortcuts. just a tip which i stumbled upon. it lets me add additional shortcuts like pandora, spotify, etc under the main music category.

Yes there is, I just don't remember how or where. You have to read through the tread. I do not remember having to run any long wires, it should be accessible behind the stereo.

Just ordered the 13.3. Max 10/scout and vivid were diff programs in that order. Apparently scout gave good maps. A post from dasaita said that you will be able to download and install any of those programs from their website in the next few weeks. I got the 2 din 13.3 with vivid. I’m pretty excited and will update! Any suggestions on front camera or anything else I should plodder while I am waiting? I got the canbus for it, also ordering the maestro adapter to use the tundra gps

Same here, ordered the 13.3 Scout plus the dash kit, coaxial adapter and can-bus off Amazon. Got the maestro GPS adapter and the factory USB adapter from BestBuy.
Pretty excited to get the install done, really hoping its straight forward and I don't run into any issues.
