Getupside takes away 3.5 cents per gallon if you use their deals in conjunction with another promotion just FYI. So don't be surprised if you only get 4.5 cents from Getupside

 

Hmmm. . . The math lined up for 75 + 8 cents off. I just checked the GetUpside rebate amount and it lined up as well. I'll watch out for this though.

 

Yeah says in the fine print when you claim an offer. When I have used my 10 cents off card at holiday stations it always takes away 3.5 cents

Yeah, I would never do that either. I'm at about $55 and will finally cash out too probably for the Amazon card. I think my codes ran out because now my savings are minimal at best.

 

This app was cool for the first few fill ups but now I’m down to between 6-8 cents discount. Not even worth the trouble anymore.

 

Yeah, I've been waiting for some new promo codes to pop up. I can still get 10-15cents a gallon at times depending on when I fill up so it's still 3-4.50 per fill up for clicking a couple buttons. I'm not going out of my way for that, but the discounts are at my normal stations that I use anyway. Plus you can also get 20-30% back on food and drink too. It seems like the money back has a lot to do with demand, when I started using it in the spring it was consistently giving me 15-20 cents a gallon in the summer, especially weekends and holidays it was only about 3 cents. I'm hoping that as the travel season winds down, the discounts will start going back up.

 

Yeah its getting to the point its not worth it for me. The gas station I have been using with it doesn't have a discount anymore.

 

Most places you get better discount for using cash. At least here in Cali

 

Anyone get a code today? It popped up in a push message and now I can't find it

 

I got nothing, but did hear a code on the radio today "KUPD" which is a local radio station. I tried entering the code, but it said it wasn't valid. The station I usually go to shows $0.22 savings on premium, but that's not much compared to what I was receiving.

Has anyone else received an email from GetUpside with the subject line "Fall into cash back"? I got this email, tried to open the link to "Get Cash Back", and it opened a browser only had the message, "Please open this link on your mobile device." I'm ON my mobile device!!!

And at this point I'm just going to Costco because it's cheaper than what Upside can offer with the $.10 rebates.

I have a Shell station about a mile from my office where I get $.07 off using GetUpside PLUS and additional $.10 off for using my Shell Mastercard tied to my Fuel Rewards. That doesn't count any additional codes I might be able to add to GetUpside. I have verified that they stack. $.17 off per gallon with such a convenient location is better than the Sams or Costco gas, when I'm not filling up on the other side of the bay.

I'm done with it. The closest station to me is a whopping $0.03. And it's in a horrible location. I wrecked my truck for 60 cents. And I can't convert my $6 to a gift card for some reason.

 

For what it's worth, I just downloaded the app and entered 4-5 different promo codes. I'm up to .70-73 cents off per gallon. So it's still useful for NEW people. I have a road trip coming up and wanted to try it.

Yes, I think it is only really useful to new people within their first several weeks. The only way to reliably keep higher discounts is to refer people. The people I've referred have gotten their high intro discounts, then stopped using it. I'll check and use it when it's convenient and discounts enough to make it worth it, but I'm not going out of my way to use it.

 

I saved quite a bit going from Utah to texas. Just sign up your kids phone your wife's phones and use all the Initial savings for newbies lol. I use sams mainly now, usually cheaper

 

Costco just makes it easy. Around here anywhere from 0.12-0.25 cheaper than most, plus another 4% off using the Costco Card. Filled up last night for net $2.42 per gallon as compared to the the posted prices of $2.69-$2.79. And it is Top Tier gas. Good enough for me..no interest in driving around trying to save few pennies here an there. If it comes to that, may as well sell my Tundra and buy a used Prius. But I get it...the price of gas is constantly in our face..becomes very emotional for many.

 

I'm with you. Now that I'm going back to work more often, I just fill up at Costco. If I'm travelling, I'll just pull up to any gas station that is most convenient for me. If they have get upside discount, great! If not, I'm not going out of my way to fill up there to get the discount.
