Now, about 5’-11”.
The bolts into my hips are a skosh over 3” long

 

My biggest regret is not taking a picture of the side x-ray. Its crazy to see hardware that long going into your spine and other places.

 

If I ever have a limb amputated, I’ll fight to the death to make sure they let me keep it. Then you can make a sword out of it for me.

Sorta, they make room, tap it out like wood to make room for the screws. Then the plates sit flush after they kinda drill and carve out a place for them.

I have a friend that had some gallstones removed. They let her keep them, but she had to sign a form that said she wouldn't eat them and some other stupid stuff that I didn't know were real things. She has them in a jar on her mantel.

 

Lost a nut to cancer, I didn’t really want to keep it once they cut it out.

 

I just happen to be enjoying a bowl of my gallstones as I read this.

 

I had a neighbor. An old retired teamster, tougher than an anvil. One summer he cut off 3 of his fingers placing his hand under the mower deck on his mower. Never went to the doctor, just cauterized em on his gas stove. Okay, so the end of summer comes and we’re talking about putting away harvest all the food we’ve got stored and what Roy used for his dehydrator was his old rambler that didn’t run (remember, this is Arizona).
Well, he walks over there, opens the door, grabs some stuff and says, “check this out”. I hold out my hand and the sumbich has dropped his 3 fingers in my hand! I didn’t recognize em at first, all shrunk up. But then I saw the fingernails.
