Next item on the to do list are the LCAs. After watching a few YouTube videos, saw people buying the below items…

    03A8B2A3-18F9-465B-9CD3-75CA090E61C9.jpg

Seems like a lot to pay for essentially nuts and bolts. Think I can get away with reusing at least a portion of these items or are they something we want to change to avoid future issues?

    thanks!

Is that for the alignment cams? Weird that they call them toe adjustment if so. I couldn't swallow the cost when I tried getting new ones. I went with SPC alignment cam kits from Wheelers, $75 I think. Not quite as robust as oem design but they work.

Using the old ones again depends what shape they're in. If they aren't rusted or stripped you can. Two of mine turned out to be stripped.

Those are the alignment bolts and cams? I didn't replace mine when I went with new LCAs. Mine weren't seized but had very minor surface rust on them. I grinded the rust off, applied anti-seize and re-used them.

If you are re-using them, you can mark your alignment on both the cam plates and the frame to get the alignment as close as possible. Pitman arm puller makes removing the LBJ super easy. Napa has a decent loaner tool.

Some people here went with SPC instead of OEM to cut costs. I'm guessing no issues since no complaints.

Are you buying OEM arms or aftermarket? I don't see those in the cart. I hope to reuse my adjustment thingamajigs when the time comes since they aren't rusted.

OEM arms. Thinking I can reuse, don’t look too bad…

You won’t know if you need them till you pull them apart. Usually you can reuse the bolt itself, and replace the cam sleeve

I think I paid $150 and some change for new OEM ones way back (over 10 years). I'm not surprised the cost has gone up.

Thanks all. Made the order, forgot about free shipping so that helped a bit.

There are 2 (or more) McGeorge Toyota sites...

parts.mcgeorgetoyota.com has the lowest prices, but not free shipping

toyotaonlineparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com has free shipping, but the prices are slightly higher

I usually run my parts list through both, but 9 times out of 10 it's cheaper to pay the shipping

Nice to know thanks. I just order several parts yesterday from the dealer. I was looking at Mcgeorge and Toyota parts deal. My local dealership worked with me on the price and got me within 15 dollars of what I could have gotten it for online. I was fine with paying a little extra to be able to warranty them local if I have to. He was able to discount the parts 25% to get me there. I ordered tie rod ends, lower ball joints and a few other miscellaneous parts.

X2, if they aren’t seized reuse them. They don’t wear out. Just add a little antisieze when reassembled.
