I have seen the many post related to raising the front of the Tundra which then lead to above and beyond the original question. To only make the vehicle look level by raising the truck up front what way so far has given the least amount of headaches after the fact? My 21 Crew has 3k and I have had ZERO issues. Like the level look but don't wish to have any issues short or long term from raising her up a bit.

You should look over the stickies and posts in the suspension forum here. Best to learn a bit before you start making modifications and spending money and potentially end up unhappy. Great info, lots of pictures and details.

Learn about the different types of lifts, pros/cons. They can range from a simple $100 spacer lift, to lower priced new lifted coilovers like 5100s, to mid grade coilovers like OME, Eibach, toytec, to suspensions that costs many thousands of dollars.

2” levels the front. You won’t have any reliability issues to level the truck. The TRD Pro comes leveled with 2” of additional front lift and carries the same warranty as every other Tundra.

The settings to pick from are approx .9”, 1.6” or 2.25” iirc. I tow and wanted some rake so went with .9” on my front 5100’s. The 1.6” would be my pick with 5100’s if I wanted level, probably put it within 1/2” of level. Other Bilstein’s have a 1.9” setting that seems to work well too, for more $.

What setting did you have the bilsteins at? Highest of the 3? Or middle? For it to look level

Mine are at the 2nd setting. Looks very level to me even though the front is still low by 1/4-1/2 inch. Changed them out following guides from other threads on the forum. Then a realignment and done. Take your time and study the videos and shouldn't have any trouble.

Thank you. I hate when the front sits higher. Just trying to avoid that

In theory the lowest lift will give you the least amount of “issues” per se. Like many said prior two inches will bring you dead level so if that is you goal I would go with a coil over. However if you are looking for some rake the 1 inch front lift range is perfect IMHO. At which point you can do a coil over or a small front spacer. The problem with dead level is that the rear end sags under even smaller loads. Here is an example…D1E98D89-6F9F-4DF1-8571-26E6915F1197.jpgit has the sagging ass looking with maybe 75 pounds tongue weight.

I have .75 (Coach Builder spacer) of lift…

I have 5100s on the middle setting, along with a 1” rear lift. It is enough to fit 35s and the ride quality is vastly improved over the factory shocks.

Can you answer a couple of questions?
What is the Bilstein part number for the front?
How much if any did the ride change?
Did you change out the rear as well? Part#

As stated I am not looking for bigger tires or anything like that. Just want to bring the front up to level.

For me, I wanted to stay OEM and the Fox TRD Pro suspension was the route I went. New, it is pricey but buy once cry once. I also added the BBS Pro wheels and went from 20” to 18” wheels on my 1794. Also put on Cooper Discoverer XLT AT 3 295/70 tires, 1.5” shackles on the rear and couldn’t be happier with the look and ride. There’s a slighted used set on Winston Salem NC CL
    Best.

How's the rub factor on that size tire? Did you end up doing the bumper spacer too? Looks very sharp and right.

I do believe that would NOT be OEM as you changed tire size and added shackles.

Ok. I stand corrected. Wanted to stay OEM on the suspension parts. Can put original shackles back on in about 30 minutes.

Thanks. No bumper spacers needed. Just use a heat gun and soft blow hammer to shape a $35 inner fender liner and mud flaps. Removed small front mud flaps too. Added TRD Pro skid plate so no rubbing on this. A little trim work needed or simply bend the ears back on the standard metal skid plate to prevent rubbing there.

Don't really feel like it changed the ride. I drove a stock 2010 for 7 years and this 2021 for a while before leveling it. Maybe I'm just not in tune with how it feels but I feel like it rode the same. I didn't do anything to the rear.

Sitting level is great for cars. Trucks "supposedly" are sometimes used to actually tow loads and haul weight. When I leveled my Tundra, I was careful to leave enough "rake" in the front, so when towing our boat, the truck sits level.

This is why I installed a 1.5" shackle in the rear to add a little rake and compensate for sag when I am towing my boat and trailer.

On a stock suspension, the rear is a good 2” higher than the front. Therefore your rear can drop 2” with a load to level and only then will it appear to sag when the rear drops below level. Once you raise the front 2” to level the truck, loading the rear will start dropping below level and start to “sag”. This is why it is a good idea to always have some rake if you’re towing stuff or hauling heavy loads. It is also a common complaint with TRD pros as they have no rake.

Sagging or drop, all the same thing really but I digress…

I got my brand new Tundra to drop about 1.5 inches with 600 pounds in the bed. Toyota truck suspension is notorious for sagging under weight. I was just wondering what weight you are towing or hauling…

Sorry I don't think they mean the same thing as sagging to me is more permanent than a drop from load. Either way everyone should do what they feel is best for their situation. I asked a question based on sitting on a level surface only as stock with nothing added or removed.
