Not surprised. I ordered these on July 2nd and they came in exactly a month later. They've been sitting in the garage this entire time. I had a massive amount of parts waiting for the truck. Tried to anticipate the delays with COVID and such.

 

Yeah, I get that. I was waiting and was going to purchase before needed but since my tire got ruined, I need to purchase sooner than I expected.

 

Hopefully you can find something decent around.

 

I’ve been drooling on a set of Coopers and DT says they are typically just a day or two shipping. But I bet your location and tire size adds some variability

 

Can’t wait to see the finished product!

 

I've always had good luck with Duratrac's, but the Tundra community doesn't seem to be too high on them.

 

Ordered cooper at3 in 275/70. Wanted 285/75/18, but no tires in that size available around here. Guess we'll use these until I can get a new front bumper and hopefully all this back ordered stuff in 3-5 years will be over. Then increase size.

 

No not yet. I have till June. I am just trying to see whats out there right now. It is still an option considering current prices.

 

Who is doing your suspension work?

 

Ideally, buying the Tundra then selling it private would give you the most return right? (assuming the value is worth more than your buyout)

Try the 285/75-18's. I wanted a full size spare and had mine mounted on a rim in about one week. This was at Discount Tires.

 

Back ordered. Be a month or longer for them. Don't have time to wait.

Also no discount tire around here. I'd have to travel and it's not in my schedule right now.

Tell me about it. They're managing to squeeze it in this week since I'm giving it to them for a few days. Otherwise they're booked out til mid October. Seeing that's the middle of deer season- nope. Really stoked to get it done before season. Can't wait to see it.

All those guys who are thinking prices are going to drop next year are going to be disappointed. I've got no remorse paying MSRP.

Currently sitting at about 13-15k between buy out price and current KBB good condition. So yeah buying it out, then selling is an option that I will probably go with. I got pretty lucky with this lease. Don’t think I want to roll those dice again though.

 

Yeah nice gamble, leasing usually doesn't pan out.

 

I felt like I was getting a deal paying MSRP considering the markups I've seen at many dealerships.

 

I paid MSRP for my Pro (before Covid) and now it looks like a screaming deal.

Other news today says China is having power supply problems and some factories are shutting down for multiple days to conserve power. Baffles me how, but there it is. I’m starting to get the feeling we’ve got another global nut-punch coming.

 

The Bridgestone Duelers that came with the truck are very quiet and good on the road, but they are definitely not a great all season/winter tire. I'm thinking about getting a better 20" tire or buying a set of 18's with good winter tires and swapping them out myself twice a year.

 

I vote a good 18" AT tire.
I see 18" TRD wheels for sale all the time around $400

Edit: Sorry, just saw you said winter tire.

 

That's the direction I'm leaning. I've been looking at the TRD wheels for a while, where are you seeing them used? Craigslist Seattle hasn't had any posted in the last few months. I'd jump at a set for that price.

I also would like to swap tires before winter but I might wait. I want something that is three peaks rated for the snow. I would like to do a leveling kit first so I have the option of going up a tire size.

 

I must be getting old as I have always lifted and or leveled my trucks, but I am actually liking the look it has now.

 

I might stay where I am, still deciding. I figure most of the more aggressive AT will likely already be heavier than the stock Michelins so going bigger just makes it worse from a gas mileage perspective.
