It has a battery, and clicks on when the truck gets tapped.

I had to replace the amp volume knob that originally came with my amp. I think the epoxy ruined one of the terminals or something, making it scratchy sound while adjusting the volume or if I left the knob in a certain spot. This knob actually has a nut to hold it in place, the old one, I had to glue. The last pic is the old knob. 6D4405D2-385A-43E8-B14F-99C34A8CA8DD.jpg5B86F7FE-673A-4626-9473-0551088D40A2.jpg17CF1900-8993-4A81-AC0C-40A9F88C434D.jpgD2782249-5626-42A8-9D66-D298FFA671E7.jpg

I have seen several of the guys on here installing these cameras. I've been looking at the rexing dual camera setup. not sure as to how to mount the rear camera with the roll down window. Any thoughts on that?

I saw someone make a bracket that sat behind the rear seat. The camera came up to the side of the headrest.

This one works to mount the camera at the top of the rear window: https://www.thedashcamstore.com/custom-folded-bracket-for-secondary-dashcam-lenses/
I think mounting next to or behind the headrest would look better aesthetically, but up high probably gives the best field of view.

a lot of times I think, there has to be something someone has made for…
And this is one of those things. Should be fairly easy to fab something like that mount up. Was totally having a brain fart with it.
    Thanks

Many times I have thought the small subwoofer box that came with the sub I purchased was hindering it’s performance. After looking at countless pics of subwoofer boxes, finding vague dimensions, I decided to go for it and build a new box.

I started by removing the rear insulation pad and installing sound dampening material. I put the pad back on because I didn’t want rhe box to bounce against the rear panel.
I mostly looked at installed subwoofer box pics and measured the areas in my truck where the other boxes landed. I could see the recess landed directly behind the seat mount, and the port went about two third down the height of the box. I grabbed a sheet of 3/4 mdf (price is going down!!), and chopped her up, placing the subwoofer centered in the passenger seat, pushed to the bottom of the box. I installed the port divider, and installed the old speaker terminal cup. The top depth is 2”, bottom depth 6. All other dimensions are written inside the box in the pics, and are inside dimensions. I used an online subwoofer calculator to figure out the length of the port - 16”. I rounded over the port exit 1/2” to keep port noise to a minimum. I don’t have any subwoofer carpet, so I just gave her a quick spray with black spray paint for camouflage, and I’ll just cover it later.

After removing the woofer, I realized the old box is made of only 1/2” mdf, and the back panel had an area that is 1/4” to fit the damn woofer. The output honestly was ok, I was happy with it when I first installed it, and for the price I paid, it still was a pretty good box.

Tested, and the damn thing rocks!!! So much more output than the other box, I’ll need to make some adjustments on the amp and LC2i, but right away it’s amazing. Super happy I rebuilt the box, it was worth the effort!!E98F6811-3A07-49BC-A727-77DFC5F285F8.jpg 8E97A3B7-ACC5-467F-84F3-D9DD01102277.jpg 368D3327-59CB-4DCC-B957-D1A6F0F6FF13.jpg 2C53DA3D-AB72-4970-A03E-791551FF6A01.jpg 6D451A30-7277-45FC-9879-08950EE60912.jpg D7C15896-A014-4F4D-8F6D-5B040B40652B.jpg 5021383B-42B4-4FA3-B0E6-1E3F510E86E2.jpg

Well, my wife gave me our anniversary gift early. She said Halloween is too late in the year for this type of gift, so here ya go.

She got a Karcher pressure washer, Chemical Guys Watermelon Snow Soap, 50ft pressure washer hose, and a Trinova foam cannon. I had done a bunch of research from detailers on choosing a pressure washer and foam cannon and had them in my Amazon wishlist.
The pressure washer is super easy to setup and use, and the foam cannon works great. I’m undecided on the soap, as I think it stripped some of the wax finish off my truck. I usually use Meguiars ultimate wash and wax, and it leaves the truck beautiful. There’s definitely a difference in this finish. I will try the Meguiars in the cannon next time.

Ultimately I love the setup, and will have to make a permanent setup inside the shed behind the truck, to isolate the pressure washer sound and so I don’t have to truck this setup around. The pressure washer isn’t loud, but I like to wash the truck at around 6am, so I’d like it to be as quiet as possible.

Carpet on the boxes is not easy. I've done 3 boxes none ever came out perfect but most of my creases were on the rear where it could not be seen.

Is that port right up giant the side panel or is there some room?

Yeah, my seams are on the edges, the line across the upper front is where it came folded from shipping. I tried to even it out as much as I could.
The port is about 10 inches from the side panel. Plenty of space to avoid port noise. It sounds even better now, I put some poly stuffing to even out the sound waves. Sounds a little tighter.
