RCI Sucks! / JK they solved my problem promptly. *until next time my friends* (He-Man voice)

Finally clear enough time without wrestling the little ones and shuttling to sports to get this skid plate I ordered labor day weekend on the tundra. Low and behold I open the package to find my skid plate damaged. Not during shipping as it is the middle of the plate and the inside with some gunk. Then the bag of bolts was ripped open and scantily saran wrapped to the plate. Where half the bolts were lose with the cardboard box ate out at corners due to shipping. Horrendous QC. Should've went with Valhalla but he had some longer lead times. RCI if you're reading this your QC sucks and I don't want to hear about covid as an excuse. I wrote an email to them to see what I hear back.

 

Maybe wait till you hear back before you trash them? If they Don't fix it feel free to trash them. Also maybe open your packages when you get them to make sure they showed up alright?

 

No they deserve to be trashed. Who the heck are you RCI's defense team. It's BS they shipped me a returned skid plate with a ripped open bag. Never would I expect that. As for inspections on delivery- I work in an office not from home. Can't inspect when you're not home. Cute dog

 

Throw it out, it barely looks functional.

I guess the two of you are used to getting ripped off. When I order or buy something I expect someone in shipping to actually look at what they're sending. I'm not too concerned with the dings as it is a skid plate. I am pisses that I have half the bolts and now have to go to a hardware store and buy parts that should've shipped with the $300 skid plate

 

It is freakin truck armor - what exactly were you planning to do with this plate? Here is what mine looks like after one off-road trip

No. Its tainted with blemishes. The plate may have been structurally weakened by the damage.

 

Maybe I should've clarified I don't care about the dings I'm pissed I have 1/3 of the hardware cause they shipped it in a ripped open bag. Nice skid plate pic here's my stock one from off-roading

So the box came delivered torn open and you decided you didn’t need to check the contents prior to attempting install and this is all RCI’s fault to the point where you post a bullshit thread on a Sunday without even giving them a chance to take care of you…

 

Now I'm considering double plating, and ripping off one plate before before going off road. Gotta live life dangerously!
