Is there a test for it on the FSM or do you think it's just the connector being damaged?

Pulled the trigger on Throttle body clean up. Pulled the 21mm cap off directly underneath the engine cover mount. Gnarly.
    20210926_072533.jpg

Cleaned out with brake kleen. Good enough for water flow now, and soon to be radiator flush... Golly Gee, I sure hope my engine drains on the bottom aren't frozen....

Cleaned up the oil residue on the TB while I had it out.
    20210926_073803.jpg

    Reinstalled mini-t-stat thingy majigger.
    20210926_074119.jpg

Need new hoses for the mini-t-stat. Anybody with a computer that can pull up exploded links, and supply part numbers? You will have my eternal gratitude. If it didn't have all them complex bends, and shit I'd just use regular hose.

Currently 48°F here. Assuming everything is ambient temp, ECT sensor checks as good per the FSM. I guesstimated that the reading would be around 3.5k-ohms.

I'm calling it good, and ruling the connector as my problem. Among the raunchy cooling lines...

Was putting the TB water line back on, and it split on me. Making due with silicone for now...
    20210926_082550.jpg

Really need to order this part, or get @lsaami's.

See the impression in the hose by my middle finger. Wondering if that's where the the hose clamp was, and thats why it was such a mess. Not squeezing enough on the hose barb.

You have to find the part number on the connectors and have a dealer order the connector off those

She's actually asleep so no need in putting up with me currently, but yes. Once this horrendous timing belt job is done, it will be date night for sure. I'll pull out all the stops. She will have earned it.

That is so weird. The oil cooler is fairly critical right? I wonder how it was running. I wonder what you would find if you removed a valve cover.

    One more grasshopper and I'll let you learn the EWD I posted earlier for your 2000. It's Ryder Cup time for me....U S A ....U S A....U S A

    Ryder Cup.jpg

Look for Part Number of Connectors starting on page 250, alphabetically find Throttle Control Motor which is connector T1.... 90980−10942
Somewhat verify by searching the pdf for Throttle Control Motor only 6 results to look at and the one below matches the color of the conductors and connector color(gray) posted in your pic.

Don’t run that one longer term because it’s running the possibility
Of mixing coolant and oil.. you don’t want that

Removed AC compressor again. Supported by milk crate.
    20210926_102501.jpg

Removed coolant line from drivers side block to oil cooler. HAPPILY, a bunch of old, nasty fluid came out of the block which means there's very little bull shit inside!

Did a cross-section of the hose I'm replacing.

Seeing this makes me wonder if someone put stop leak in this thing and its gonna have bigger problems later. I hope not though. Hopfully it's just never had a coolant flush and they've been putting an incompatible coolant in there for a while.

Is that to drain the coolant, or just a place where a hose connects? The coolant drains on my block are brass.
