ESP figured out how to do it. Toyota could have if they wanted to.

yeah they did but for the amount of space you get for $250, no thanks. and the metal version is $577 for even shorter depth than the plastic one.

waste of money imo, at least toyota probably thought the same.

Actually, their official statement has always been that their customer base wanted a load flat surface with the seats up.

Silly comment. I don't think everyone tows a trailer. You are perfectly fine driving a truck even if you have never towed before. Not every truck even has a tow hitch

and the sad part they are right, in the almost 4yrs i've had our platinum, i can count the number of days my rear seats have been folded down on both hands.

    edit: removed "NOT" folded down

With someone in the back seat, underseat storage can make sense for stuff you don't need access to while driving that otherwise would take up foot space or have to go in the bed. With no one in the back seat, a flat floor makes sense but would it have killed them to give us a floor that's actually flat?

yeah if it was flatter it would have been better, but we have worked around it. could always put an insert into the divot and make it flat, which works if you have a slim dog cage for hunting dogs :)

yep, tundra is the wifes daily driver and for trips to the grandson. right now she is driving to fargo solo and will be back sunday. great for me since i can sit around do nothing and hang with the 2 dogs. 99% of the time our tundra has nothing to pull or even carries anything except our fat asses around town or small trips.

Yea the Tundra was locked and wandered over to the Ford. Very disappointed, as I went to see the Tundra and was hoping to climb around inside.

I think they were really targeting something like California surfer dudes or something like that. Turbo tundra is definitely going to be out of place down here because you wont be allowed to listen to hank jr in it without 2 front tow hooks that weigh at least 11 pounds. Each.

Separate coolers work much better and keep the temps down.

She only has one trans cooler? Should have separate liquid and air trans coolers

It would have been more interesting if there was no pallet to distribute the force of the impact.

I dunno what it has, members have said it was stated it has one but they could be referring to a combined one with the radiator and not a proper stand alone cooler.

Look into the RAM Backcountry. It's a milder version of the Rebel for way less.

There have been occurrences of the integrated trans coolers leaking and mixing trans fluid with coolant. Destroys the transmission immediately. Good ol' "pink milkshake"

I think that was a pretty widespread issue with the 4 runner at one time, and I think Nissan had that issue on a few models...
