E-Z-P-Z to a windshield washer tank/pump mounted under the truck with a spray nozzle near the rear license plate. All the tailgaters would be my territory.

but i pee before i leave, so i’d just keep it full of mineral oil.

For those of you that have had to cut your alignment bolts, did you have to remove the steering rack to get the new bolts in? @Tundra2

I didn't have to cut my alignment bolts, but I removed them completely for my new LCAs. I didn't remove the steering rack completely from the truck, but I did loosen all the steering rack bolts. I also loosened one or two of the brackets for the lines. I was able to pry the rack far enough to get the bolts in without much issue, the heads just pushed tight against the tie rod boots.

I concur with @des2mtn not a full removal but I pulled the hardware and leveraged it.

That center bolt was such a pain to mess with. Whoever put it there is on my list of vehicle engineers who I wanna have words with. Him, whoever did our pinch welds, and whoever put the oil filter behind the frame on my Honda. I have words for all them. Strong words.

Be careful with the boots too. I ended up creating a little hole in mine, as they were old and brittle, when I pulled the bolts I guess. Didn't notice until the next day with a little puddle below and had to pull the tie rod off to replace the boot. Luckily I hadn't done my alignment yet.

Right!!!!! I replaced the steering rack bushing two weeks ago and that center bolt took 4 times as long as anything else. I was really hoping to avoid doing it again.

Wedging the Ushaped bushing in after getting that Center bolt lined up was the only way I was ever able to get that bitch in when I did my bushings. No way it was going in with all bushings in place. One of the most frustrating mechanical experiences of my life, took few days of fucking with it to figure that out finally.

There is one bolt we still can't get in @jpink steering rack. He's driving around without it for now. He bought new bushings and we're going to attempt it again. Major PITA.

Getting the bolt in isn't the end of the battle, its trying to get a wrench in there to tighten it.

@jpink you better work on that lol you need that bolt in place, not the best candidate for weight reduction.

This one is for Tuco, and maybe Heather…..

got my windshield replaced today; had them do clear film and a “brow” turned out pretty good, now I just need to stop tailgating so I don’t crack this one.

I didn’t get to put my “dash mat” exactly into place because I’d like to tuck it down the front of the dash to prevent rattles but I want the urethane to dry all the way before I do that. My dash cover works great, reduces glare and it will keep you warm in a pinch! D0C1D645-FCDC-4D47-B758-566156677D76.jpgA92728D4-F8FC-4726-81BC-E6F7D2400E4E.jpgA2AF7E82-25AE-430D-A1AF-7C449C840727.jpg

you know they make dash mats that actually fit the dash....

Also, does that dashmat come with a sombrero?

Yeah we even removed them completely. The bushing on the driver side is not quite fully seated so it's throwing off the rack alignment just a hair. That center bolt is so close to sliding in but none of the 3 of us could get it.

One would think, I ordered one from a local company and it fit like dog shit.
This one looks “good” once it’s tucked and folded better.
No sombrero needed, you just wrap it into a turban

I remember I started with that bolt and had to move the rack around a bit but it did drop in. Were you able to see through the frame welded nut that no rock or anything dropped into the hole? Well here's to hoping the next time you deal with it, it drops in the first time.

Made some more progress on the drawers. I put rustoleum bed liner on because it’s an easy 1 part solution that I can get everywhere, so future touch up will be easy.

the biggest downside is that I could not get the back piece of plywood through the opening in the back, so I had the wife help me lift the topper up and slide it through the side.

    And a suprise.

Testing testing. Tiiiight fit! I had to remove the cool shaft guards. Not 100% these are going to even fit, but I'll give it the college try. Looks like about 13" of travel. Maybe a hair more, but likely 12-13"

Bought a DC center console from a Junkyard today at the price of an arm and leg. Way better than the small one with the shallow cup holders.

Forgot to grab the mounting brackets when I bought it and had to drive an hour back to get them.

Also now my ash tray doesn’t come out anymore.:der::notsure:

    Oh well!
    This thing is badass.

My wider shoulders usually means I'm using the console as an armreset versus the actual armrest.
