maybe it’s a demographic thing, but in the category of moms dropping their kids off at school in the morning, the vast majority are fans of Lunar Rock.

 

You probably know this, but you want to do the PPF before you ceramic coat it. They'll have to strip it back off where ever you are having them apply the PPF.

 

New member here who’s spent the last 2 days working my way through this thread. Long story short, while looking for a new truck, I had it narrowed down to a Raptor or Tundra TRD Pro. I almost feel bad telling this story after reading how long so many waited on a LR Pro but literally had one fall into my lap on Monday in the town next to me. Went for a test drive and decided on the Tundra that night. Put in a deposit yesterday morning and pick it up tomorrow morning! Had no idea they were so rare and feel very fortunate. Only paid msrp plus another bit for bed cover, auto tailgate lock, and running boards. Can’t wait until tomorrow morning and will post pics when I get it!

Yeah it’s not cheap. When I bought my 19 C7 Z06 corvette 3 years ago it’s black had it paint correction done with the whole car Suntex wrapped. And then Ceramic coat. It cost me 7000.00 but well with it. My C7 manual falls into the 21 LunaRock value. Lol. I can sell my car now for more than I paid. It’s not going to happen. I was going to do my whole truck but decided it’s a truck. I said I would never owns black car again. But the awesome deal I got on it and the wife talking me into it I could not pass it up. It’s so easy to clean and take care of.

I told a friend the same thing yesterday. It’s a truck and most buyers would expect it to be used as a truck.

Ceramic is about as far I’d go before having to spend 7K on both.

 

Half the fun is tracking it down across multiple states and being put on 30 dealer subscription lists just to find- you sir, missed out.

 

That is 9/10 of the fun

 

In hindsight, it was fun. At the time, it was incredibly stressful..

Just inked a deal on one! Picking it up the end of the month when it arrives. I may be absolutely insane, but I’m trading in a perfectly good 2020 raptor.

This will be my 4th tundra. Just something about this gen trd pro I love so much. Is this the biggest truck mistake of my life? Maybe? Lol.

 

They say if you don't turn back after parking the car when walking away, then you bought the wrong car. i look back 100% of the time.

I looked at Raptors. Couldn’t bring myself to do it. 300k miles on my Gen2 was too good to give up.

 

yea mine has been very good to me, but i just something simple . Does it get more simple than a tundra? We also go on road trips often and tow a small trailer. The reliability peace of mind will be nice even though my raptor never failed me. I really hope I don’t regret this lol. Maybe once I hear the v8 I’ll know I made the right call.

 

Well. Kind of a biased group here but I don’t see how you can go wrong with old faithful? My fourth Tundra (first Pro) and I look back as I walk away several times a day just so I can check her out again! My oldest son has a beautiful Ram TRX and honestly I still like mine better in several ways including Reliability Dependability Longevity and Appearance (sorry son) not to mention price tag.
Middle son had a 1st Gen Raptor and he had a good time with it but once they get to 75k miles you start to wonder how much longer can I go before things start going sideways? My ‘05 Tundra had 140k miles on it and I don’t think we ever thought twice about it… Revel in the peace of mind (we all share) knowing you have a NA V8 engine that is bullet proof and fully enjoy it with total confidence my friend!!
