Doesn't mean @#$! to a tree. The end result is the same; unhappy owner (with out common sense) but still unhappy.
    And, bad press for Toyota.

I've heard about that condition but, honestly I know of no one who owns a Tundra who's experienced that issue.
So take that stick and shove it lol

I'm not sure stupid people are ever happy. They might be too stupid to know the difference.
With the 5.7, they might have the capability to do less stupid things though. Think about that... HA

    lol…
I’m just salty because mine just started leaking recently :bananadead:

I know that little engines with big turbos is the way of the future…but I will miss the V8.
The V8 is simple, and I think that is such a huge appeal. But simpleness is a trait of the past…

I know I posted this before, but if Toyota can do what ever other truck manufacturer can't. Make a TTV6 reliable with longevity, maybe it would be a world beater. The Ford guys would run over to Toyota and buy this truck in mass quantities.

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
I liked my Tundra while I had it, but honestly, the V8 is not worth saving...

Reading the TRD Dual Exhaust Install instructions. I plan on painting the underside Black first then doing the install.

From a Tundra to a Tacoma and now back to a Tundra with that Big Beautiful V8. That V6 Taco was disappointing. Boy oh Boy I sure missed that V8

    That’s the Mod for today!

Check out the exhaust mod threads, there's much better out there for less too.

I've got 4k on my 2021 so I'll start peeking around under the hood to see if it has that issue.
So far it's clean as a whistle.

Wait for the availability to show up on the website. Toyota may offer a 5.7L, 6 speed trans on the 2022, just to use up the inventory.

Back in 2007, they offered a 4.7L combo just for a short time. Of course, it may not have some of the features like terrain select, crawl control, and some of the safety sense features.

OMG, it’s like the EV vs ICE debates on Facebook. Who cares? If you like the thunder of a V8 and spending lots of time and small fortunes at the gas pumps, buy that f’n V8. If you like saving gas and sipping boba tea, get yourself a TTV6 or hybrid.
Point is, buy what you like and make no apologies for it. But there is a reason why the old Ford 7.3 diesels are in high demand. When it becomes apparent that new technology for the sake of emissions reduction is often unreliable and not always as efficient as advertised, the old reliable workhorses become hot commodities. Cost effective or not, taking your sh*t to the dealer is a huge PITA, especially in recent years.

It has 23k miles now and leaks the worst during camping season when I'm towing the trailer. Not bad bad but my independent shop thinks I should have the dealership fix it. I'm scared.

I have two more years to decide. But for this stupid leak, I'd be all in with the V8 + Magnuson supercharger over the redesign. Faster and cheaper and lower tech. I have one in my Tacoma. Zoom.
